such a sad story!
today i decided "hey, lets step out of my comfort zone a bit and try some shorter exposures" what a bad idea....
iona beach is one of the only beaches in vancouver that gets decent waves, and i thought i'd take advantage of that by doing some 1/4 second exposures to catch the cool movement of the water. turns out i underestimated the size of the waves and ended up dousing my camera with a few big waves.
so by that time my filters were wet and sticking together and i couldn't get a decent shot, and about 20 minutes later we had THE MOST GORGEOUS SUNSET EVER! i could have cried.
i think the biggest thing i need to learn is patience........ stupid patients.
so here is one of the long 2 minute exposures i got before the big wave hit
I can't go to Weston-S-Mare without thinking of my Grandad. And today, sitting in Frankies, looking at the pier, I wished more than anything he could be there to share breakfast with us.
A rainy evening brings great drama to the Tokyo skyscape. The only thing missing was a kaiju in the distance!
My friend is missing this white knob for the clamp on his roof tent. Think it is a standard M8 thread, same as an exhaust stud on a standard aircooled VW head.
My boy Marley went missing on 4/11/17 and I am heartbroken!!!
I've had him for a little over 8 years and he has never wondered off. He has always stayed within eyeshot of my house!!! I've looked everywhere surrounding my house with no signs of him. With the drug problem that's running so rapid in Southern Ohio I'm afraid that someone may have picked him up to sale for drug money or there is a big Trade Days Flea Market taking place this weekend in the Scioto County just south of me. Performance by York Youth Theatre of 'The Mortification of Christ', one of the 'Missing Mysteries' - plays not included in the 2012 production of the York Mystery Plays.
The performances took place in six churches in York on 11 and 12 April, this one at Holy Trinity, Goodramgate.

So many of my normal bird visitors haven't shown up this year...very worrisome situation. This is one I took from my archives dated in April 2011. Not the greatest of shots, but I really miss them.

Dreizehn - ohne die Zahl 13 - war die Aufgabe. Was lag also näher, als die Zahl durch ihre Abwesenheit darzustellen. Eigentlich wollte ich das 10x10 Raster ausfüllen. Aber das wäre zu wenig Lücke gewesen.
Die 13 wird bekanntlich auch in der Realität gerne weggelassen, weil sie einigen als Unglückszahl gilt.
