Walking home along Dupont Street last night, I came across this 8 1/2x11 poster looking for a missing person pasted on the side of a disused telephone booth.
The story of the man, Mickey Hamill, ends sadly: a man who disappeared on the morning of the 11th of April after leaving home for a restaurant was found dead four days later in High Park, not a victim of foul play. Going home the evening before the discovery, I passed a pair of people in a truck, a worried adult man and a young boy, who were driving around with these posters looking for Hamill.

A woman holding a list of some of the missing people caught in the Grenfell Tower fire outside the offices of Kensington & Chelsea Council during a protest.
The protest was calling for an urgent resolution on a range of post-incident issues including the rehousing of survivors locally, the release of funds to cover welfare and loss costs as well as for an immediate commission to investigate the recent £10m refurbishment project and to look at similar buildings in the borough to identify fire, health and safety risks and put in place immediate control measures.

Furness Abbey was built by Savigniac Monks in the 12th Century and absorbed by the Cistercian Order in c.1150. It was the second richest Cistercian abbey in England (behind Fountains Abbey) and was disolved in the 1530s on the orders of Henry VIII. Today it's very well preserved and an English Heritage site.
Ojalá estuvieras cerca.
Ojalá te tuviera.
Tal vez estuvieras alguna vez.
Tal vez no estuvieras ninguna...
Pero ahora te siento cerca.

This is an age progressed sketch of Lee Harbison, AKA Henry Johnson. He and his entire family went missing in 1975. There was possible foul play involved, but nothing was ever proven. Senarios range from the entire family having been murdered, to the possibility that Lee was responsible for the death of his wife. Lee had an extensive criminal history and went by several different aliases. www.charleyproject.org/cases/j/johnson_michael.html

The Missing Man formation serves to remind us of those who sacrificed their future for that of our nation, and is a tradition which dates back to World War II. The symbolic moment when a single aircraft breaks formation and soars skyward, leaving behind the others, albeit with a missing man in their ranks.
