To me, this is the best season to visit Provence….Unfortunately, I can’t go there this year…But, every night, when I lay down on my bed, I smell it thanks to the Lavender Pillow that I’ve got from one of the smallest villages in Provence…. To the memory of my lovely Provence, I initiated a new photo series: Missing Provence. "The Golden City", is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located 575 kilometres (357 mi) west from the state capital Jaipur. It was once known as Jaisalmer state. The town stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone, crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples are finely sculptured. It lies in the heart of the Thar Desert .

While the wind and snow blow around us, I returned in my mind to the past, where we expected snow and wind, and where most birds migrated.
This is a female redpoll. We had several irruptions of them, and took advantage of that in 2015 by opening a kitchen window partway. Joyful!
Not been able to go outside due to hurting my back, Shot an amazing Sunset the other day, but nothing in the forground wanted to use it. The Gondola was taken many years ago in Venice

I often see eagles sitting high up in this tree watching the Chickahominy Lake for their next fish. Today was not my day. Perhaps the approaching storm scared everyone away.

It’s cold outside and it’s only November. What looks to be a long Winter already has me unfortunately already “Missing Spring.” We’ll get by OK. Five years today, our handsome and funny Leo crossed the Rainbow Bridge.... he died of mouth cancer...

Leo was Bob's litter brother...
having seven cats at one time, sadly we have only two, Bob and Lola (both 17)... all the others died with from different forms of cancer...
They all left us way too soon...
