Insects in the family Tipulidae are commonly known as crane flies. Adults are very slender, long-legged flies that may vary in length from 2–60 mm (tropical species may exceed 100 mm).
In Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland they are commonly referred to as daddy long-legs, but this name can also refer to two unrelated arthropods: members of the arachnid order Opiliones (especially in the United States and Canada) and the cellar spider Pholcidae (especially in Australia).
Numerous other common names have been applied to the crane fly, many of them more or less regional, including mosquito hawk, mosquito eater (or skeeter eater), gallinipper, gollywhopper, and jimmy spinner.
At least 14,000 species of crane flies have been described, most of them (75%) by the specialist Charles Paul Alexander. This makes the Tipulidae the largest family of Diptera. ~Wikipedia

This was a test of taking a photo on the iPhone using ProCam, grabbing that DNG in the iPhone version of Lightroom, and doing all of the editing in Lightroom. Overall, I think it's a success.

Inaugurated at the hands of Minister Nitin Gadkari, CM Pramod Sawant and local MLAs Wilfred De Sa, Alina, Subash Shirodkar, PWD Ministers etc
My water lily produced several beautiful flowers in early April but has not made anything new in many weeks. I miss these wonderful blooms and hope I will get more as summer sets in.

I was back at school today to have a meeting about finishing the study. Meeting again some teachers and classmates, I couldn't help but missing my time at HAMK, a lot. I'm very fortunate to be here, in Finland, at this school, met these people. I'm truly blessed.
Performance by York Youth Theatre of 'The Mortification of Christ', one of the 'Missing Mysteries' - plays not included in the 2012 production of the York Mystery Plays.
