Really I'm just missing my mom. So hard being soooo far from her. I took this with my phone over Thanksgiving at her house.
I hiked several miles up onto the new section of the Foothills Parkway last January before it opened up to make these pictures. I believe it is one of the prettiest views of the Smoky Mountains particularly since you can drive there now that it is open.
This section of the parkway is known as the "Missing Link"
Please click "L: to see it on black where it can be fully appreciated. Thanks:)

Something’s obviously missing here. The question is whether the officially sanctioned demo team carted it off or someone else later stole it for scrap.
The Oriental Lily should open a 6 petal bloom that can spread up to 20cm in diameter.
A Rose, a Tulip, it can happen to all...
Sometimes, they just miss a petal and show us more!
Thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

The rain is officially back and I'm thrilled. Here are a few shots I took on my lunch hour today. Oh, how I've missed the rain! It was difficult for me to narrow this down to so few shots. The world was adorned with droplets everywhere I looked. It appears Mother Nature hasn't forsaken me after all.
I hope you're all well. Take care ~ Beth =]
My effort for Macro Mondays on the theme of Pick Two. Delicate Pottery - my wife's dragons have delicate ears like this little chap who has lost one..

Found this brick wall in Creemore, ON with degraded paint, part of an old mural. Time has resulted in the loss of some of the painting, but it has also created a nice abstract look at the same time.

Just a couple of DIY perch shots from my office window, today and tomorrow. I really liked the light falling on this Eurasian Collared Dove. Snow had just about stopped and sun was trying to shine. Zooming in by a couple of clicks and you get a pretty good view of the missing toes.
Taken of a glassless window in the old Hydro electric plant in Fremont Ohio, over looking the raging Sandusky River. The energy and movement of the river was exhilarating on this beautiful spring day with the water being around eight foot deeper than normal.
I am missing seeing my beautiful dahlias. There are one or two hanging on but most have finished, including this one...night silence. I have a few more dahlia images that I may still post to brighten up my feed.
Lensbaby double glass II optic in Composer pro II with macro filters.
A quaint, picturesque old town nestled in a winter wonderland. The cobblestone streets, wind through the heart of the town. Historic half-timbered houses, their roofs blanketed in snow, line the narrow lanes. Twinkling fairy lights adorn the charming storefronts, inviting you to explore the local shops and boutiques.
