This boat was flipped upright when we first arrived, and once we were about to leave, i went over and saw that it had flipped upside down. The water had risen a lot in the 2 hours that we were there.

The most annoying thing that can happen to a puzzler: a missing piece!!!!!! The most fulfilling part of puzzling is putting in the last piece, in my case even 2!!! pieces are missing - the manufacturer couldnt deliver it but got me my money back. Still, so frustrated.

One of the Cooper Hawk's attack maneuvers is to fly fast and low to the ground, then up and over an obstruction to surprise prey on the other side. Today his obstruction was me. It has been an unusually warm day so I was sitting outside reading, with my camera by my side. Without warning, the hawk flew about 2 feet from where I was sitting toward a bluebird just leaving the bird feeder. Fortunately, the bluebird escaped and the hawk flew up in the tree above me. This was the best shot I could get.
