Had fun with this one! Was lucky to have the right letters after hunting through our assortment of random metal type blocks. I assembled them all in an authentic type case (ended up cropping the edges out) which isn’t as easy as it sounds as they are tiny and don’t fit together too well.
Obviously had to flip the shot so my name reads correctly.

The Missing Link - Lizard Peninsula, Polpeor Cove, Cornwall
Whilst photographing The old Lizard Lifeboat Station I had some time to kill waiting for the fisherman to head out on their row boats. So, it was time to capture some intimate images and this is one of some of the large industrial rusty links that are used to haul the boats back up the slipway. I opted for a mono square crop and feel it suits this image well

A quaint, picturesque old town nestled in a winter wonderland. The cobblestone streets, wind through the heart of the town. Historic half-timbered houses, their roofs blanketed in snow, line the narrow lanes. Twinkling fairy lights adorn the charming storefronts, inviting you to explore the local shops and boutiques.
i have been feeling a little off lately. like i am trying to hard. wanting certain things a certain way. when i look at this photo it makes it very clear. how we can miss focus even on life's main focal point. it's time to focus on what really matters....
12.4.14... our wee cat is still missing. I feel horrible. I keep imagining what could have happened to her. Tonight will be the third night where she hasn't been fed or warm or cuddled. We've put up posters and walked through the local woods but there's been no sign of her. My poor kitty. I'm a bit heartbroken.

Goathland station - todays walk was roughly a figure of eight from the car park at Goathland.
Maastricht is the southernmost city in the Netherlands, and is the capital of the province of Limburg. Situated on the Maas river, within walking distance of Belgium and cycling distance of Germany, it claims to be the oldest city in the Netherlands (a claim it shares with Nijmegen). A great place to spend some time, it contains some magnificent buildings and culture, taking the form of plenty of old houses and buildings, lovely cathedrals and a spectacularly cobblestoned town centre. The city is also well known for its fine cuisine, excellent shops and multicultural atmosphere.

My goal with this series is to explore every day scenes under the cover of darkness. A street corner, a lamp post, a doorway. Big city, small town, urban, rural. Yes, summer is finally here. It’s the best time for outdoor activities in the great outdoors. Unfortunately, however, such weather phenomena don’t occur during this season. We’ll have to wait until at least fall for that.
The real soul of Europe is there. Travelling in Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia (etc...) is an amazing experience to go deep into the fascinating and complex history of my continent. The atmoshpere in these post-communist countries, now experiencing with some difficulties and hopes the liberalism has something special, that puts you in an in between situation. And the main asset of these countries is their people: full of culture, curiosity, sympathy and talent. They are still away from our selfish individualism, and still know what solidarity means (less ans less, however). I love them so deeply. (Czech Republic, Prague, February 2004)

At Elk Island NP. We are so absorbed in checking our phones that we are missing out on the beauty of our world...
