Having traveled to Tulameen with my friend Patty (vermillion$baby), via the Hope-Princeton Highway (Hwy 3), we came back via back roads until we hit Hwy 5, the Coquihalla, at exit 256, and that's when the bad weather started -- YUK!!!! (11-05-26-S0812)
We stopped in this town for some tea on the way to Srinagar from Kargil. I actually find it hard to believe that it is the "second coldest inhabited place in the world", but any place that claims that is obviously miserable.
Took a random boat tour in Bangkok with my friend Julia. We heard about many scams, but were interested in checking every part of town anyway - even the ugly and sad ones. At some point, the driver stopped and told us to go check the "crocodile farm". There is a famous huge crocodile farm in Bangkok - which I also don't know the conditions of - but this is not the one we went. Instead it was a small zoo with no infrastructure. The sad look on all monkey's eyes struck me. We left the place with a mix of shame for falling into that trap and regret for paying entry - therefore supporting it. What can be done to change that?
This image was taken in Bodrum inTurkey whilst i was on holiday. I observed his body language for several minutes before i went over to see him closer. He was rather friendly and craved effection from me!
Although he was sad and on a chain tied to a tree he had a good body condition. The place where he was chained was outside a restraunt, so i am usuming he would get the scraps of the left over food....

Not only was this dog behind a chain link fence, he was wearing a four cross harness and tied to the tree :(
The first 30 minutes at the zoo were not enjoyable for Mallory. Mom used sunscreen that was supposed to be "mild as water" and Mallory rubbed some in her eyes which then turned red and swollen. Lesson learned: "mild as water" does not mean "tear free."

Ozzy doesn't like having Vanya in the house at all.They begrudgingly deal with each other. Vanya is too spastic, and Ozzy is laid back.

I love to travel, and am normally not afraid to fly, but our flight home from Tampa was pretty bad. The plane was packed (except for the ONE empty seat to my left, which I felt very fortunate to have) every single baby was crying, and because of the huge storms we were about to fly over, we were forewarned by the flight attendant that the ride was going to be "really bumpy so keep your seatbelts on".
My sister hates to fly, so as we travelled together, I was the rock. We'd hit a really rough patch, and have to pick up our drinks or they would've spilled on us. My sister would look over at me, terrified, holding on for dear life, mouthing the words "oh my god!!". I would occasionally say "Oh, shit..." or something to that effect, but tried to remain calm for both of us.
But the whole time I'm thinking to myself "this is it...we're going down!!"
