Digging through some older images today and found this image and editing of the the old min. I sure miss the little car!
I wasn't driving, but I did obstruct the driver's view for a second or two. :) Always fun when you do that on the freeway.

I've missed a MPD on the route before - standing on the main road, I saw one of the 04-reg ones take a service into the station with a morning journey, but it was showing Not in Service by the time I got to it.
So it was good to capture 1629 (LF52 USG) on the service.
This was the busiest I've seen a pm journey, perhaps due to the closure of the car park, starting this week, to build a new deck.
The other type I've seen on the service but missed a photo of is an ALX400... but I think I've definitely blown my chance of ever snapping one of those on the service!

Miniature versions of games were popular travel toys before we had portable electronics. Master Mind was a popular game in the 1970s. This mini version saw a lot of use balanced on a knee in train stations, on buses, and in motel rooms.
Our Daily Challenge: The 1970s
How adorable are these two?! Met these little chaps in the grounds of Whitby Abbey. I reckon they could do some serious damage to any Halloween monsters out and about that night.

This delightful little coach was spotted in the temporary car park next to Ropley Station, home of the Watercress/Mid-Hants preserved railway in May 2014. Bedford CFL / Plaxton Mini Supreme C17F CNR274T 'Bubbles' was there among hundreds of cars whose owners had taken the opportunity to park for a fiver then catch a free train ride to nearby Alresford for the annual Watercress Festival. It was an extremely popular thing to do with overcrowded trains departing every 20 minutes throughout the day. One steam-hauled, one diesel-hauled, and a 'Thumper' worked the service.
The fourth generation of the modern Mini was introduced in 2023. All models are called Cooper now. This is a basic Essential trim model. It has a 1.5 litre 3-cylinder engine with 156 PS.
Mini Clubman John Cooper Works 2018
Based on the BMW UKL2 platform. At the time of its debut, the Mini Clubman was the largest Mini ever manufactured by the brand, measuring 427 cm long and 180 cm wide. It abandons the previous model's asymmetrical door layout for a standard four-door design, but it retains the rear barn doors.
The top-of-the-line John Cooper Works version produces 170kW from the BMW B48A20 engine, and has the ALL4 four-wheel-drive system as standard. The sprint to 100km/h takes 6,3 s and top speed is 238 km/h.
