Millennium Bridge, London. Shame about the cranes.

As mentioned on previous image I'd appreciate your feedback. ;-)

… the Walkie-Talkie, the Scalpel, the Cheesegrater and 22 Bishopsgate, now masking the Gherkin, all disfiguring the City skyline :-/

St. Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge. 37

it was another day of miserable weather today until about 3 o'clock when the sun came out. it was looking quite promising for a colourful sunset, i quickly put my gear in the car and drove down to newcastle quayside and waited for the sun to set it was good to get out again. thanks for looking

A shot from my last trip to London in June just to break up the flowers a bit!

I took this from the Millennium Bridge- if you've been on this bridge you will know it shakes, a lot. People walking, running, skateboarding or just breathing, will make you, your camera and tripod quite unsteady. So if this isn't quite as sharp as it could be, that is why. Nothing at all to do with the wine I'd had to pass the time WAITING (waiting....waiting....) for it to get dark (whose idea was it to do a nighttime shoot on the longest day of the year?!)

Regno Unito Londra, Bankside, Autunno 2014

The Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the River Thames in London, linking Bankside with the City of London. The bridge alignment is such that a clear view of St Paul's south façade is presented from across the river, framed by the bridge supports. The bridge has been the first pedestrian river crossing over the Thames in central London for more than a century. It has two river piers and is made of three main sections of 81, 144 and 108 metres with a total structure length of 325 metres. And it can support a working load of 5,000 people at one time.

I think it's taking aim, Governor

Thanks for your visits, comments and faves!

Have a great weekend!

The image consists of five bridges really but as I caught all of the reflections as well I doubled the count up. The bridges are; tyne bridge, swing bridge, high level bridge, Queen Elizabeth II bridge and King Edward VII bridge. When I look at the image I can also see the redheugh bridge in the distance as well but I will stick with the title ten bridges..

The Millenium Footbridge over the Thames going south, looking at the Tate Modern Gallery on the right.

The Boomerang is a new residential skyscraper, officially called One Blackfriars, on the south side of Blackfriars Bridge. In addition, there are so many well-known buildings and bridges in this picture of the Thames in London, looking upriver.

A brief Interlude in the April showers allowed me this LE Capture of the Newcastle-Gateshead Quayside.

The beautiful Newcastle upon Tyne Quayside on a cold blue March morning.

The barge that was set free from its moorings around 50 years ago and got stuck on the weir outside the flour mill in Castleford.

The footbridge was built as part of Castleford's regeneration programme and featured on a Channel 4 documentary hosted by Kevin McCloud.

from Millennium Bridge to St Paul’s Cathedral

Can't help photographing the Millennium Bridge but try to get a different take each time. This is with the camera body just sitting on the floor.
