♁ Jumping Spider / Springspinnen (Aelurillus v-insignitus)
Same spider as in the previous shot, but at a wider angle. To me, she looks kind of like a tank on hilly terrain.
I thought I'd try something different tonight and go for a micro nature scene. I really like the result.
I wanted to make a micro version of the Forgotten Temple as well as make instructions for it. The instructions are free on my rebrickable page (link in bio) So if you want to make this or the Micro Hunters Dream for yourself you can. If you are just curious to see how they go together you are more than welcome to take a look.
I do want to make instructions more often for my builds but they do take a lot longer to finish and test. I also like to use odd pieces in my builds that aren’t available digitally which limits a lot of options for making builds, so unfortunately I won’t make instructions for every build I post.
I’m wanting to make micro versions of every show build I make because I have to take them apart pretty quickly afterwards and the shows are pretty much the only time I get to see them fully assembled. I do like to keep little souvenirs from the show builds but a tiny version is a nice little display piece to act as a reminder of what I have made. Who knows maybe after 50 years I can just display the micro builds instead…

One of the most popular 35mm cameras in history. The C3, also known as "the brick" was produced from 1939 to 1966, and sold over 2.2 million units.
Easy to find in America, but less common here in the UK. I'm very grateful to my parents-in-law for bringing one over at Christmas, along with a Micro-Nikkor lens.
Photographed with a Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm f2.8.
This leafhopper (thank you Ampro for the id.) was so small ( about 3mm) that I almost did not see it with the naked eye.
It's not a particularly good image, I know, but considering my efforts in taking it as the minute bug kept moving round and round, I think that I could not get it sharper! I still want to share it with you as I think that it is worth seeing the amazing micro world !

Glass Beach in Fort Bragg California is a pretty interesting place, with surprising beauty. It's funny that a collection of worn-down garbage can draw this kind of attention, but here we see that art and beauty can emerge in surprising forms.
My 8th build for the CCC XVI! I love rockwork, so this was a really fun build. The buildings were also enjoyable to make, and my favorite is The tower next to the steps which is leaning! Hope you like it!
I built one of these years ago and never actually took any photos, so here is the new version of what may be the World's Smallest Working Lego Train Layout! :P
Based on 4950 The Loader-Dozer, released in 1999.
Not my finest work, but I wanted to share this micro Rock Monster. The main body is a no pattern mini Piraka head and the back is a pair of those guns that shoot studs. I don't have many parts in this color so I had to improvise.
