Reception Robins enjoyed their visit from the micro pigs. They each had a chance to brush, stroke and walk the pigs.
Burning Micro is a geocaching event where micro caches are burned in effigy. Bets were taken on how long it would take the guard rail to fall from its place atop the bonfire. It was a surprising 33 minutes.

As part of AKF’s Work and Enterprise programme in Syria, AKF provides grants to businesses which have the potential to grow and create jobs. In 2022, Nazreen received an additional grant which she blended with a loan from AKDN’s First Micro-finance Bank in order to solarise her business which, like much of Syria, had been hampered by intermittent electricity supply. As a result, her business grew by 150% and she was able to hire more staff. Today, she has 15 employees, 9 full time and 6 part time to keep with demand. Nazreen sells to customers across Syria and Lebanon typically for celebratory moments like engagements, weddings and parties.

Now he has access to electricity all day long. Consequently, he has been able to hire 18 people and run two shifts a day to keep up with demand. His profits have grown from $85 a month in 2021 to $375 a month in 2023.

This is a tiny straw flower bud that's about 1/2" wide...so that should give you an idea how eensy weensy this little fly was..
I put an abandoned paper wasp nest, Polistes metricus, in a container, and got these micro-wasps, pteromalids that are likely Dibrachys cavus, emerging by the dozens, totaling well over one hundred. Leavenworth, Kansas, USA, November 19, 2021.
