I designed this for Brick Fanatics 2017 Star Wars Advent Calendar. You can find instructions for it here: www.brickfanatics.co.uk/brick-fanatics-lego-star-wars-adv...

And now for a debut over two years in the making!

Micro Fleet!

Back between late 2013 and early 2014 I had nearly fallen out of Lego. Not wanting to abandon my longtime hobby, I challenged myself to come up with something where I could get both quality and quantity (especially quantity). I soon found myself inspired by Rumrunner's Micro Battlefield tanks and Bruce Lowell's Battleship, I decided to create a fleet of warships and support vessels in microscale. They first debuted at BrickFair Virginia 2014 where they were well received. They have subsequently gone on exhibition at BFVA 2015 and 2016 and have remained a big hit. Of course, I have greatly procrastinated on sharing them with you all, for two years...

Battleship / Battlecruiser

Escort Carrier

Merchant / Oiler / Landing Ship

Gunboat / Escort Vessel

Tug / Auxiliary Vessel

MTB / Landing Craft

These are all relatively easy to make, but the most important piece that limits construction for me personally is part number 47905. More ship classes are in the works (I've been struggling to come up with a destroyer design), and the goal is to eventually create a large diorama showcasing all of these. Water (trans-blue studs) has been hard to come by, so special thanks to Dan for donating so much of it back when these debuted in 2014. I'll share some sample dioramas I've had later today.

Myself and @MasterBrickSeparator (on Instagram) have made a little series of Micro Star Wars Duels, some of them based on duel sets, some of our own invention, all very small and around £/€/$ to build! We’ve both shared free instructions to all of them on Rebrickable, mine are under my Micro Bespin Duel MOC, MBS’s are under his Micro Lightsaber Duels MOC, links below. We hope you like them, thanks for looking! rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-67259/ron_mcphatty/micro-bespin-.... rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-75680/MasterBrickSeparator/micro...

There is still a miniscule amount of time to finish up your own GARC to enter in the the race being held this year at BrickWorld in Chicago.

Head on over to the GARC group for the MICRO garc guidelines and to ask any questions about the race.

Stars and Stripes is the American answer to our neighbors to the north race entry The Canadian Cruiser

The Stars and Stripes is powered by good ol' Yankee know-how and will be piloted by Uncle Sam.

A close-up of the harbor tug that I used in my recent freight terminal diorama. The model is built at approximately 1:200 scale.

While messing arround in my files I found this little 4 studs wide cargo truck I created some time ago but never released it.

Imported it to Stud.io, rendered it and here it is. The original was made in LEGO Digital Designer.

I built this little one to go along with the shiptember failure ( which I plan on finishing someday btw) but it's really just an excuse to use as many colours as possible ;)

With the 3014 GARC season opener came a new racer - the #13, better known as Vertigo. This ship was entered into select events to promote the resurrection of the "Gravity Games," an ancient Earthican festival that pit primitive humans on wheeled boards against each in death-defying stunts.

New-found interest in the ancient festival has influenced the people of Ok'm'phu to recreate this festival and share it with sentient beings of the universe.

This is a collaborative micro GARC between me and Jacob. I built most of the racer and then gave it to Jacob to finish. He reworked the shaping and added stickers and did a damn good job on it! Thanks man!

I've bumped this in case anyone didn't see it yesterday.

Seriously, this thing is made of tissue-paper and wishful thinking.

I don't like WIP shot that much, because I'm never sure to finish the moc, but this seemed like a special occasion. I think I got the basic shape done ( the easiest ^^) and it's 115 studs long so far.

Obviously I hope to make it to the deadline but if I don't, I think I'll take the time to finish it anyway.

C&C most welcome ! =]

Taylor and I like to make micro versions of all of our MOCs, so this is the collection of micros for all of the various space ships I have made.

I have a bunch of MOCs I have made over the years, and since Taylor and I are now posting all of our pictures under the same profile, I thought it would be good to upload them now that I have some decent pictures.

Have not posted any new builds recently, so here is a little something to foreshadow on what theme I have been working on lately. The larger build is not depicted in this scene, but this is too iconic of a scene not to build.

After falling a little short on my last attempt to build a micro freight terminal, I decided to give it another try. This time, I used a smaller scale (1:305 instead of 1:200) and narrowed the scope a little so that I could include all of the details that were missing from the first one.

This diorama is a section of a small, manned freight terminal, designed to handle both containerized and RO-RO cargo. A Panamax class container ship is docked at the quay and is ready to be unloaded. In the staging areas of the terminal are the cargo from a recently unloaded RO-RO ship, including a fleet of new cars and some heavy equipment (including a few ultra-class, 400-ton mining trucks). Yard trucks and reach stackers are busy moving containers around the yard, and there are two fully loaded freight trains on the rail spurs ready to pull out.
