Meera had a pet buffalo named Kaali. A mass of muscle and mud, her horns curved like the crescent moon, and her eyes held a knowing gleam. The other children laughed at Meera for loving Kaali so much. “She’s too wild,” they said. “She’ll never listen.”
But Meera knew Kaali’s heart beat like her own. She had raised her from a calf, whispered stories into her ear at night, and run barefoot beside her through the fields.
One summer, a drought gripped the land. The village well dried to a whisper. The river shrank to a ribbon of dust. The men muttered, the women wrung their hands, and the buffalo grew thin. But Meera had heard of a secret spring hidden deep in the hills, where water ran clear even when the earth cracked.
No one believed her. But Kaali did.
At dawn, Meera climbed onto Kaali’s back, her fingers curling into the thick fur of her neck. “Find it, my friend,” she whispered. And Kaali ran.
Through fields that had turned to brittle gold, past withered mango trees, over dry riverbeds where fish bones gleamed like tiny ghosts. Meera clung to her, wind whipping her hair, dust coating her tongue.
Then Kaali stopped. Snorted. Stomped her hoof. Meera slid down, heart pounding. The earth smelled different here. She dug with her hands, Kaali watching, nostrils flaring. A few inches down, the soil turned dark. Then wet. Then a rush of coolness against her fingertips.
She laughed, splashing water over Kaali’s nose. The buffalo huffed, triumphant.
By nightfall, the whole village had followed them, carrying pots and prayers. The old well was forgotten. The new spring belonged to them all.
It's that time of the year again when you build small landscapes and buildings into equally small Christmas baubles for the RogueBricks Santas Secret aand for Brickscalibur Medieval Micro of course :P

With photographing this small church model, I used an alternative exposure and experimented with different incidence of light. The photo editing was also different this time and I hope you like the result?!
Here is my sixth entry for the "Chibi Micro Contest"
After seeing _Tiler 's beautiful X-34 Landspeeder , I thought I'll give it a micro chibi try. Not an easy job so I hope you'll like it anyway ;)
I love me some micro builds. Built this one a couple of years ago to go with Kristal's micro scale English Village, but just now got around to taking photos.

Found these two tiny mushrooms in the forrest the other day. The tips were smaller than your pinkie fingernail. The next morning I went back for more photos and they were eaten by slugs; slime trails told the tail.
This little "stand" of fungi possibly belong to the Coprinellus genus.

Micro contrast refers to the subtle differences in tonal variation between small details in an image. It's an aspect of image quality that affects how clearly fine textures and details are rendered, contributing to the overall perceived sharpness and depth. High micro contrast can make an image appear more three-dimensional and lifelike, enhancing the visibility of intricate patterns and textures. It is often influenced by the quality of the camera lens, sensor, and post-processing techniques.

This micro (macro) photo is of a baby Serrano pepper that is just a tad over half an inch long, and the droplet of water on it is smaller than a match head! Reflected in the droplet is a window in our house.
A micro viewpoint and the macroscopic way of thinking.

Plants at spring have fresh colors, when you look at them can be see and enjoy more than other seasons.
First experience micro photography in this spring when we have to staying at home.
I wanted to make a micro version of the Forgotten Temple as well as make instructions for it. The instructions are free on my rebrickable page (link in bio) So if you want to make this or the Micro Hunters Dream for yourself you can. If you are just curious to see how they go together you are more than welcome to take a look.
I do want to make instructions more often for my builds but they do take a lot longer to finish and test. I also like to use odd pieces in my builds that aren’t available digitally which limits a lot of options for making builds, so unfortunately I won’t make instructions for every build I post.
I’m wanting to make micro versions of every show build I make because I have to take them apart pretty quickly afterwards and the shows are pretty much the only time I get to see them fully assembled. I do like to keep little souvenirs from the show builds but a tiny version is a nice little display piece to act as a reminder of what I have made. Who knows maybe after 50 years I can just display the micro builds instead…
There were a number of awesome plant pieces appearing in the PaB walls in the LEGO Stores around Easter, so as these are now available in great supply without breaking your wallet, designs using these pieces will likely be useful. Here's an attempt at a micro tree built from these pieces, except for the trunk piece.
Had to test around quite a bit for everything to sit firmly, and to handle being shaken and turned upside down. Aesthetically I feel it doesn't really measure up, but it's cheap and can easily be expanded into a forest, or be combined with other designs for diversity.
