Here's a Rivoli's hummingbird and another hummingbird jockeying for position near the feeders at Ramsey Canyon Preserve (AZ).
I apologize for my absence the last few weeks. There's nothing we love more than going to the British Isles. After having been to North Yorkshire last week we went to Newcastle for a few days. We could tick off the impressive Angel of the North from our bucket list. Feels very good! Can I make up with a sweet and very useful ladybug? Or for the Britons among you: ladybird ;-)

My old violin micro tuners - macro photo with Nikon p7000 - hand held- shaken a bit - Have not played my violin for a while..
This tiny weed flower measures 1/4" in diameter...not the center portion, but from open petal tip to open petal tip across the widest diameter is only one quarter of an inch!

This is a collaborative micro GARC between me and Kyle. He built most of the racer and then gave it to me to finish. I reworked the shaping and added stickers.
Macro Mondays theme : Oil on Water
For this picture I used olive oil and water, and for the background, a tulip picture. The natural light of a window, during a sunny day, helped to get a nice definition of the oil formation. It looks much bigger on the picture than it really was! But this is what this group is all about isn’t-it? Macro photography!
