Here is my entry for the Memory Box Fall Challenge. The Memory Box Products I used are:
D1123 - Oak Leaf and Acorn
B1053 - Just A Note
Memory Box Kraft A2 size cards
Memory Box Tinsel 6x6 paper collection
I love this Oak Leaf stamp and decide to make the acorn solid gold leaf. It is subtle but pretty in person. I also took Brilliance Inks Cosmic Copper and Galaxy Gold and sponged the edges with these inks. I have included another photo if you want to see the shimmer better - just go to the previous photo.
To participate in this challenge and to look at future challenges look at the Memory Box Blog here.
I have also realized that I followed the sketch from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge. This is only my second time getting to participate in there challenge and this time I did not use any Sweet and Sassy stamps...sorry to say. To participate in this challenge look at the The Sweet Stop Blog here.
Thanks for looking!
I stuck double stick Be creative/sookwang tape to cardstock, covered with various ribbon, and die cut with the second largest die from Spellbinders nested eggs. Grass was cut from green tsugami crepe using the poppystamps grassland border, flowers are from memory box cherry blossom and fancy blossoms die, and colored with Ranger Distress markers and a waterbrush. Cut Memory Box Kaleidoscope and Moonlight butterflies from 2 tones of yellow cardstock.
Let your special people know your lovely mind!!

I made this card for my niece and her partner who recently became engaged. The background was done using the "embossing folder stamping" technique and Tombow dual brush pens.
The butterflies are dies by Memory Box: Moonlight Butterfly #98260 and Kaleidoscope Butterfly and body/antennae #98261
For more detailed information including how I did my background, you are welcome to visit my blog: Instead of Ironing Blogspot - this link will take you directly to my blogpost: instead-of-ironing.blogspot.com.au/2014/06/more-embossing...
Thanks for having a peek at my card :-)
This is a card I created using one of the new Memory Box notecard colors (sky), a newly release Memory Box stamp, and a Memory Box die. To create the fun colored background on the ticket die, I used the new Tim Holtz distress markers. virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.com/2014/04/virginias-vie... I inked a memorybox stencil for the base Spritzed with the TIM HOLTZ marker mister tool. Then Placed a PENNY BLACK stencil over the top of the BG. Spread a thick layer of texture paste and allowed it to dry. Replaced the flower stencil and colored the raised areas with Spectrum Noir markers. And a touch of WINK of STELLA. The sentement and border stamps are from ALTENEW.
Random HS memorabilia. GO RAMS!!! My school spirit really peaked in high school.
I'll add notes for this stuff, rather than listing it here.
This is a quick tag I did for Memory Box Co. I challenged myself to use 3 or more stamps. I got to 3. :) Anyway, for more details and a close-up photo, please see my post here:

This is my 6x6 page for today's Hymn & Scripture Challenge. Our word and study this week are on the hymn "Trust & Obey." The scripture I used was:
Psalm 130:5 "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope."
I love that first line of the hymn--"when we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word." Yes, His Word is our book for living. It's our book for parenting. It's the book that has all we need to live each day. So where do you need to let go, trust His word, and obey Him? What do you need to bring to Him and trust Him fully? Or what old habit are you having trouble shaking because you are relying on self? Let go and trust Him to help you through it, and then experience the joy that comes from obedience!
I loved the bright colors of the Basic Grey paper pack called PB and J. It makes me think of when I trust and obey Him, I am filled with joy (bright, happy colors). The die cut bicycle is a new die cut from Memory Box called "Brand New Bicycle." I wanted to use it because it makes me think of riding or walking and following something--in this case following and obeying the Lord and what He wants me to do.
To see more photos and to read the entire study, please see my post here:
