This is Erik's box, when opened. It has a poem in the bottom of the box, sandwiched between mirror and clear glass. The lid has a safety line strung with pearls and beads to prevent the lid from opening too far.
This card uses one of the new Memory Box stamps (Peace Love and Joy G1874) and the Memory Box die called Primo Labels die 98139. One thing I love about this stamp is that it's so easy to ink up in different colors. The font is bold and wonderful. This stamp would also make a great 'tag' for a scrapbook page! Celebrating Spring with butterflies & flowers. I inked Dancing With Flowers Silhouette with Emerald Ink and then inked Everything Flowers with Ocean ink and kissed the stamps together before stamping on paper.
I used the Memory Box Butterfly Delights Die cut on Navy cardstock & then again on Emerald to Emphasize the Negative with the Moxie Fab World. I finished with a vintage Hero Arts sentiment and some pearls using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.

Memory Box Co. has released new dies and stamps this week. We are having a DT blog blitz showcasing the new goodies. I created this card for the blitz sharing the new Whisper Print stamps and a banner die from Poppystamps. I decided to use 4 of the Whisper Print stamps using very little color--kraft, white, and mocha. It was a lot of fun to create. To see step-by-step instructions, a close-up photo, and to be entered to win some of the new goodies, please see my post here:

My inspiration for this card was this bow I created earlier for a video I did on how to tie a crinkle bow. Once I had the bow, I knew I wanted to use Memory Box pool paper and the Brioche 6x6 paper pack. I also used the Memory Box Joy Outline stamp and the Memory Box Pristine Border die along with the Poppystamps Lorelai Leaf die. To see more details, a link to the video tutorial, and a close-up photo, please see my post here:

Made with the September, 2016, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. Patterned papers by Doodlebug. Additions to kit: Heart dies by Simon Says Stamp, Postage stamp die by Memory Box, seed beads from my stash.
Sometimes it is hard to use thinner paper or thinner cardstock to cut intricate dies because the papers sometimes rip as they are being removed from the die. I wanted to show you a tip that I discovered the other day that really works well and reinforces the thin paper to die cut beautifully. Look here to see my tip:

I love the new Memory Box paper & stamps...ok, I love all of the Memory Box papers & stamps. Who wouldn't!?!
This is my 6x6 page for the Hymn & Scripture Challenge. Our word and study this week are on the hymn " Though Troubles Assail Us." The scriptures I used were:
Philippians 4:19 "And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."
Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
I used the amazing Memory Box boysenberry paper. The color is so very rich, and it just reminds me how Jesus is King! He is in control! I really wanted the focus of this page to be this majestic color. I also found that the Adirondack Color Wash wild plum matches the boysenberry paper perfectly. I spritzed a bit of it on the page for fun. For the hymn, I printed it out on a paper bag and crumpled it up. I then cut the writer's information out and added it as a tag.
How does this hymn help us? What trouble or troubles are you facing? Were you caught in the middle of Hurricane Sandy? Are you now experiencing the aftermath of the storm? Or maybe you are in the midst of another personal difficulty. God will provide. He will be there to hold you up amidst the storm. He is trustworthy. He is the great Promise Keeper and always keeps His promises. To see more photos and to read the entire study, please see my post here:

This is a card I created using a painted background that I made. It was a bit dark so I decided to stamp on top of the background using white ink. Now I just can’t decide if I should send this as a congrats card for a wedding that will take place this weekend or send to a friend just diagnosed with breast cancer. Decision, decisions.
