Leaves and berries are right up there with my favourites to paint. However, I often struggle with red berries; their richness and warmth don't always fit into my muted, slightly grungy colour palette. However, lush purple berries combined with blue-green leaves - now we are talking!

I created this green networked world in a box several years ago. But it fits my thoughts about what is missing from EDCMOOC - the marriage of computers and biology into something living, green and growing. Not a cyborg human but the beauty of a vine connecting humanity. To read more about it, see my blog at kelcym.wordpress.com/2013/02/13/future-edcmooc-memory-box...

Made for the Simon Says Stamp flickr challenge. It is a sketch challenge.

I used Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp and die cut snowman.

Nothing fancy, just Cat looking cute and wishing all our Flickr friends a Happy Sunday!!

I started writing diary in 1969 :-)

50 years of my life first collected in diaries, documents and photos, then written down. My friends, my men, my family and those who have become my family..., a biography that is not always straightforward..., very erotic, cheerful, serious, sad, thoughtful, almost always exciting...;-)

Anyone interested in my story should have nothing against gays and plenty of time to read.

Glitter technique (Jennifer McGuire) for deer and snow background. Hero Arts sentiment. Bronze metallic paper is shinier IRL.

This card uses a Memory Box Deer Trio die and the snowflake is by My Favorite Things.

The beautiful sentiment is from the Hero Arts clear set: Merry Christmas Tree CL459 and was stamped with Versamark Watermark ink and heat-embossed with silver embossing powder.

October 13th - 24th, 2012

Palazzo Zenobio, Venice (Italy)

Opening: October 13th 2012, 18:00.

In a group exhibition titled Memory Box at Palazzo Zenobio in Venice I will be showing a dozen platinum prints and photogenic drawings from my shadows series.

It's about Memory - permanence and transitoriness are the two key concepts for my contribution: the platinum prints are possibly the most permanent printing technique, while the merely stabilized (not fixed) photogenic drawings are one of the most transitory ones, and they will invariably deteriorate (and finally vanish into paleness or into a black blob) while exposed to direct light during the exhibition… The photogenic drawings add some "colour" to the installation with their characteristic hues of yellow blue and purple (respectively stabilized in potassium iodide, potassium bromide and sodium chloride) - but they are short-lived… just like so many other things concerning memory…

If you are somewhere close by, please come and say hello!

From 1883, stones and keepsakes from a journey to Europe by an American couple whose little notebook implies life changes between their departure & return. A cherished offering from my magical handyman, who found this box in the attic of an abandoned home some years back. I'm pursuing leads on the couple, from Ravenswood, Virginia.

Inside Message: Happy Father's Day

Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border Die, Memory Box Branching Out Die, EK Tools Mini Flower Punch, Pearls.

This is the card I made with the "trio deer" die I received from my win.

I would like to thank MB for this gift !

I made this for my mother last Christmas... found the house at the Salvation Army Goodwill store and painted it black base with crackle white overcoat and a layer of clear acrylic sealer. See note for the rest of it.

Some of this may not make a whole lot of sense so I'll explain the thought behind it. My mother is very very creative, much more than I am and does tons of crafts. She knits, crochets, sews, quilts, does scrap booking, paints, draws, does beading, some metal and clay work, makes soap, does some of the lost folk arts like shirret and anything else that catches her interest. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be nearly as creative as I am... I've been immersed in it my whole life and she always pushed me to try new things. I grew up with my parents selling at and going to craft shows and all my younger years she and I never missed going to one. I still get pattern books sometimes with "hint hints" written in the margins or ideas of something she saw at a craft show that she tried or wants me to try.

Alot of the items in here reflect her love of sewing.. the machine, yarn, thread, basket, beads, buttons, etc. The bottom left box is her love of collecting driftwood to paint on (especially santas), the grapevine and pine cones she collected to make huge holiday wreaths. The shells, rocks and glass from the ocean are also a passion of hers that I inherited. Whenever we went to the coast we would all spend hours walking the beach picking up anything interesting we thought we could use... she would always come back tugging huge pieces of driftwood wanting dad to cut off a certain part because it "had character" and she wanted to paint it. She even made her own "rock tumbler" out of small plastic containers one time that rode under the spare tire in her jeep and used the motion of the suv to smooth them.. funny enough, it worked :)

I got this idea from a picture in a book where someone had used an old wooden knife case to make a memory box.

I put the diecut from Memory Box on a card pannel, which I sponged with several distress inks in a rainbow order.

madebystef.ch/2015/05/regenbogen/

TFL!

Used a Memory Box Wreath die and added some autumn leaves and toad stools.

I wanted to play along with the Hero Arts Make over Challenge. So I picked one of my favourite cards seen here www.flickr.com/photos/76711660@N05/10266991225/in/datetaken/ and gave it an updated look. I love the Faux Textured Metal Paper and thought it would give my card a beautiful background effect with the gold embossed wreath. I added a red die to give a little bit bright colour to my card. heroarts.com/blogs/club/2015/08/17/enter-the-makeover-cha...

I am also entering this in the a2zscrapbookingblog.com/2015/08/01/august-2015-challenge/
