An oil painting of my father. He painted this one in 1985.

Memories of long gone times. A glass and a bottle of Jack-Op beer.

"Why, hello, say, can I buy you another glass of beer, brother..."

Thanks for visiting!

This box was a gift from my Grandma Jeanne to my Grandfather Daniel in December of 1924, when they'd been married a few years. It's always been on my mother's desk, and in Cairo, she had it fitted with a wrought iron frame. When we moved here to Brooklyn, she gave it to us and now it's got all our wedding memories in it.

It is, needless to say, very precious to me. I never met my grandfather but I remember Grandma Jeanne well - and the spidery, neat handwriting dedicating the box on the inside reminds me of her.

Vincent Zanni - Saved memories (gelatine in water)

These pictures are printed on gelatine, and kept in water which will slowly dissolve the picture. Just like the memory the photo represents.

An Ensignette no 2 by Houghtons, his pride and joy, I’ve got 2 of the photos he took with it. Camera is described at camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Ensignette Grandad died when I was quite young so we never talked about much serious such as his WW1 experience. He was a lovely man, quiet and always kind to me.

All I've got left of my Alfa 33 are memories and these papers.

A view inside the concentration camp of Dachau, Germany.

This photo is uploaded on January 27th - the day of liberation of the Auschwitz death camp, as well as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

In memory of 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and in memory of my grandmother who survived Auschwitz, and passed away on October 2006.

the modules i just got are identical to two i already had... so that's 6x1GB now.

somehow i thought this package was already lost in the mail... especially since i saw how the Xeons arrived in the mail a few days back (not insured or such)...

But... it seems my package with the true value written on the outside got held up at the border and i had to pay taxes on it...

Well... that's better than getting lost in total, right?

So, I think this was the last part for my never ending server number two, i better get going now and colocate this thing! ^_^

Warsaw, Poland

Visiting Poland

August 2015

Few time to visit Poland but enough to reach the two main cities of the country. The well reconstructed Warsaw, full of memories with war and freedom signs and Kraków, full of flowing life by the streets between the historical centre and the jewish quarter. My visit in 12 shoots.

Rekindling memories of the last day, 80072 running as 80043 that ran on the fateful last day of the S&D
