Have had this PowerMac G4 (Sawtooth/AGP) for 8 years now. Since I've upgraded to Leopard, have had intermittent hard lockups. Not sure if its the memory going bad or one of the many other components that I've upgraded over the years (CPU, power supply, video card, gigabit ethernet, USB 2.0, HD. Yes, everything has been upgraded except the case and the motherboard).
We'll see if the lockups continue or quit. Put in two new 512MB memory sticks, and kept one old 512MB stick & one old 256MB stick. If it still locks up, troubleshooting will continue. If it turns out to be not the memory.... well... $3.5k for a new MacPro. Yikes!

My mum has a wall devoted to various framed photos of family members getting degrees/being babies/at special occassions. Kinda just realised how sweet that is... it started off with just the baby pictures but now looks like this.

In Memory of my two friends, Paul Genge and John Aikman, who lost their lives serving with me in Northern Ireland and to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving their countries throughout the world.
Macro Monday's theme this week is "Memories" I came upon a photo montage of my family and got some ultra closeups of my dad who's been gone for a few years now. Mom is still here.
This photo I took over a decade ago in this Grant Wood, "American Gothic" style. I had mom stand on a bucket to get her tall enough to dad. This is his "you're a nut Dan" smile.
Someone added sticky letters and butterflies to the picture but that's to add more fun to it.

The hiroshima bomb killed 70,000 that morning, another 70,000 died later from the after-effects. The bomb was tiny, virtually ineffectual, in comparison to the incomparably more massive weapons still being stockpiled around the world today.
Japan is now the most pacifist, the most weapons-free nation on Earth.
So much so that it is almost impossible even to purchase a pocket knfe! ( Mine, which I feel naked without, was taken from me by airport security, and I was quite unable to replace it while in Japan.)
What will it take for those nations which haven't yet been " Nuked ' to cure themselves of their fascination with Armaggedon ??
