American Motoring Memories is a classic car restoration shop in Culver City Calif. The owner Jeff Reade concentrates primarily on early Corvette restorations but is known to do total & partial restorations and update maintenance on many of the Big Three (GM, Ford, Chrysler) classics from the '50s to early 70's.

LOAD Day 1. Prompt today was to find a picture that inspired. The prompt arrived right at midnight, and tired and lazy I went to the pile of pictures I printed almost 2 years ago. I love this picture, it's not pretty, but it sums up a period in our lives. At the time it was too raw, but time has passed and perspective has been added. Sometimes it's great to be so far "behind".
BTW, in general I'm a 12x12 scrapper, but when I signed up for load I decided that I'd give 8.5x11 a try - (A)because it's easier to just scan and go, and (B) I bought an album a while ago and it has about 4 layouts in it. It feels awkward today?? Hopefully I'll get more at home with it. :)

This box was a gift from my Grandma Jeanne to my Grandfather Daniel in December of 1924, when they'd been married a few years. It's always been on my mother's desk, and in Cairo, she had it fitted with a wrought iron frame. When we moved here to Brooklyn, she gave it to us and now it's got all our wedding memories in it.
It is, needless to say, very precious to me. I never met my grandfather but I remember Grandma Jeanne well - and the spidery, neat handwriting dedicating the box on the inside reminds me of her.

Vincent Zanni - Saved memories (gelatine in water)
These pictures are printed on gelatine, and kept in water which will slowly dissolve the picture. Just like the memory the photo represents.
About a month ago I went through my aperture library and did a massive redesign on the approach I use to keyword my images. I'm really glad I did that because last week I wanted to find an image of my dog littlebear who passed away a few months ago to give to my stepdad Matt for Christmas (he was Littlebears favorite). Well after doing a search for Littlebear in aperture it pulled up this image - one I never knew I really had and really liked. I applied a few small contrast edits to the image. Glad I found it, He was a wonderful dog/friend.
Image was taken when I was down in Southern Oregon for a wedding and had rented a 5d Mk2 and a 85 f1.2 lens.

Có lẽ vì ngoài mấy anh con trai thì chị cũng là ng. gọi mình là Angel và lúc nào gặp cũng í ới gọi mình bằng cái tên iu iu ấy, rồi hát ngân nga bài My Angel và tận tình kể cho mình nghe về bài hát đó, về album mới of F2TS và khen em gái Angel beautiful và thick mình cuoi ,...blah, blah... Ngày cuối cùng cg là ngày 2 chị e nói chuyện với nhau nhiều nhất, rồi chị ngập ngừng dúi món quà vào tay mình và nói sorry liên hồi vì đã ko chuẩn bị present mang từ Hàn sang... thương chị gê, e cgdau co gi cho chi dau co chứ... cung may co deo cái vòng mau den xinh xan minh rat thick ( mua dc o Nha trang voi gia hời) nen tang cho chi ấy lun. Nhin thay chi rat vui va hanh phuc ...minh cg vui. so happy vi it ra cg co gi cho chi lam ky niem.

the modules i just got are identical to two i already had... so that's 6x1GB now.
somehow i thought this package was already lost in the mail... especially since i saw how the Xeons arrived in the mail a few days back (not insured or such)...
But... it seems my package with the true value written on the outside got held up at the border and i had to pay taxes on it...
Well... that's better than getting lost in total, right?
So, I think this was the last part for my never ending server number two, i better get going now and colocate this thing! ^_^
