This was the last day of school (A levels) and I wanted to take a different kind of a group photo. It was a sunny Spring day and I gathered everyone in the open ground, took out my camera, put it on black and white mode, put the exposure really high and put the timer on to shoot the picture automatically, and asked everyone to huddle and pose (haha you can see people in the back struggling to get in the focus!). This is by far the most nostalgic photo I've ever taken.. Because of the expressions and emotional feelings on that day.
After years without actually thinking about u, this afternoon my subcosncience remaind me that you were real. You appear into my dreams like if you were always been there, but what it is funny is that just a few days before today I was trying to find you, but it seems like if u don't what me to be in contact with you. I don't understand why, everything was alright last time I checked. But lately this days the picture of you that it's on my memories has been modified, I can tell you this is because I have this tendence to block bad things about people, and I just save the good ones. I guess this could be great news for you, because all those wonderful details about you are with me, and they'll be forever. So, wherever you are, I wish you are happy, and hope, just hope that you remember me at least as a person who made an episode of your life. It's not like a want you back, not at all, but it will be nice to know you still alive.
The painting was done by a friend of mine in the 70's. The vase holds my wedding bouquet. The stereoscope card was my Great-aunt Gertrude's. The cabinet was one I bought in Korea in the 80's sold to a boyfriend after my divorce in '91 and bought back a couple of years later. (He charged me $10 more than I'd charged him!) The framed picture has my nieces Rita, Cindy, and Mima Lee. So everytime I walk in my front door, I'm surrounded by memories.

Really love the wrinkles of the man! the way he sit on his chair, just watching some people who walk by. so peaceful and a life full of memories!

Mine is of drinking coffee with my Mum the morning that my Dad was having his hip operation. The sun came out briefly and picked out the edge of a collection of his. No significance. No sentimentality. I was just interested in the light.
1. An Ambassador Classic vehicle: old-fashioned in styling and mechanics but easy to repair without sophisticated facilities and tools. (I quite often saw these cars with hubcaps that looked like they belonged to an old Merc.)
2. A political poster with mugshots of candidates / party members and Malalayam script.
3. Software development training offering an opportunity for personal improvement and participation in 21st century engineering.

this picture struck a chord with me because it forcefully reminded me of my childhood. My earliest memories take place in cars on darkening highways...
From the Memory Table - Past and Present Pets -- The "cushion" the dog and cat are own is fabric from the tablecloths at my wedding in 1982.
....and oh what a happy one.
This was a gift from my uncle (who I saw for the first time in 40 years), visiting here from Slovakia. I'm a true "family" girl at heart....and I so enjoyed his visit....it was hard to see him go. Memories run deep and we're hoping that we'll make the trek to Slovakia next year, as a family.
