I never got to use Efke films much before they stop production. I do have a few rolls left in my freezer and I took one out for a little walk with my Rolleicord III. Although expired 2/2015, the result is still good. I really love the tone of this "old fashioned" B&W film. I missed Efke films, I don't think there's any B&W film on the market today like this.

Taken with a "freebie" wide-range zoom lens (28-210mm f:3.5-5.6), branded Vitacon and apparently made by Cosina, on Sony A7 camera. Surprising sharpness for a vintage zoom. Others have given similar reviews. Also loving the Swedish Steel.

Back in the summer of ’97, my wife and I backpacked, rode the Eurail trains, and sailed across Europe for 5 weeks. We travelled from the Eiffel Tower to the Iron Curtain, from the subways of Madrid to the restaurants of Budapest. Here is the view from our room overlooking the port of Ios in the Greek Islands as the evening ferry comes into port.
Those were the last days of an era. When we got back to the States we bought and restored a historic tear-down house, had a kid, and started an engineering business all at the same time.
