so, this was fun. that contraption front and center is an electric-powered skateboard that one of our friends rigged up. he had just gotten back from a run out on the playa when he lost control and fell off. It continued on, going under our campmate's volvo and ruptured the gas tank. we had to scramble with empty water containers and whatever else we could find in order to catch the gas. we thought we were fucked, but somehow word got out about it and someone magically dropped off a gas tank repair kit for us the next morning, unsolicited.
Had to adjust the colour balance on this one a fair bit - major yellowyness!
Superia = not all that great for portraits.
This is one of the better ones off the first roll out of my Pentax 6×7. Already crazy about this camera.
Chris used to have shiny rings and studs pierced to his eyebrow, his lips, his nose and his ears but when he joined the Navy, he had to remove most of them. The holes have closed, and now that he is out of the service, he has decided not to get more jewelry for the time being and is focused on tattoos. Chris lets his younger brother, Justin, practice with the ink and needle on his arms and legs. He can show how much Justin has improved from the earlier tattoo on his forearm to the more recent one on his bicep.
I asked a fellow photographer/friend to take my family portraits a few weeks back. I had a roll of Delta 3200 to finish on the Mamiya 645AF, so I brought it along. These are some images I grabbed in between the real stuff.
