Adeptus Mechanicus - Games Workshop

I glazed various bricks with Celestra Grey, Zandri Dust and Mechanicus Std. Grey then gave everything a very heavy Nuln Oil (black) wash.

After that I drybrushed with Codex Grey, Celestra Grey, Black and a little Pallid Wych Flesh.

I think it's possibly a little too contrasty and could be lighter?

Tamiya yellow-green sprayed in clouds with a filter of their Clear Orange over the top. I used Worn Effects for the chips rather than hairspray this time.

Wondering about apply the fluid to the whole thing on tank 2, so that I can use water to remove all the paint in the recessed sections rather than bother to mask it.

I sponged chips onto the black bits with Mechanicus Standard Grey and added a few streaks with a brush. Then dry-brused with Administratum Grey and washed with Nuln Oil to tone it down again.

I mixed tiny quantities of Red Madder and Cadmium Red oils and blended that over the upper outer portions of the bodywork to enrich the colour. I also blended a little Raw Umber and a Raw Umber/Titanium White mix onto the lower body sides and inside the arches as road dirt.

The wheels have had their centres painted black and the rims touched in with a Molotow chrome pen. I dry-brushed the tire tread with Administratum Grey and then washed the entire tyre with a mix of Zandri Dust and Nuln Oil, rolling it off onto paper to clean the tread surfaces. Finally I drybrished Zandri Dust onto the outer corners of the tread blocks.

The weapons have also been gussied up a little, with a wash of Athonian Camoshade and edge highlights of Ogryn Camo.

Lastly I painted the interior using Screaming Skull and Zandri Dust for the leather, and Khorne Red/Mephiston Red for the belts. I washed the seats with Agrax and the rest of the space with Nuln Oil and then dry-brushed a little Mechanicus Grey and Adminstratum Grey around.

Hopefully painting some spokes onto the wheel will make it look less like a burned potato cake...

Touched in the bricks and flags that I missed earlier with glazes then washed the lower stonework with Agrax Earthshade and Athonian Camoshade on the lowest bits.

Then drybrushed with Rakarth Flesh and Ushabti Bone on the warmer areas, Codex Grey and Celestra Grey on the cooler ones, and a bit of Castellan Green around the bottoms of steps and pillars.

The doorframes are Mechanicus Standard Grey overbrushed with Zandri Dust and then highlighted as above for warm areas.

I also picked out the flashings in Incubi Darkness.
