Meatloaf with buttermilk smashers
Meatloaf (ground beef, onions, garlic, herbs, oats, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, cream, ketchup, herbs, and spices), buttermilk mashed potatoes (golden potatoes, buttermilk, butter, cream, and milk), and sweet-and-tangy ketchup glaze (ketchup, brown sugar, Frank’s hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and spices). Served with a green salad with tomatoes, carrots, and peppercorn ranch dressing.
The meatloaf was awesome but the salad sucked.
We had Meatloaf for supper. Darek love cheese on just about everything. I tried it on the Meatloaf. Kind of tasted like a Cheeseburger. I ALWAYS put a lot of catchup on my meatloaf.
This cake is from a Martha Stewart recipe for a meatloaf birthday cake. The "frosting" is mashed potatoes and the decorations are carrots and peas. It tastes great and is great if you have a meat and potatoes lover in the house.
