Doing Illustration homework. Had to do some paintings so I used these watercolor pencils. They work very well.

Segueix les proporcions clàssiques però els materials utilitzats i alguns elements decoratius s'inspiren en l'estil mudèjar. Són remarcables els relleus escultòrics de Josep Reynés (que representa la ciutat acollint els seus visitants) i de Josep Llimona (que simbolitza el lliurament de guardons). També hi ha altres motius escultòrics de Torquat Tasso, Antoni Vilanova, Manuel Fuxà i Pere Carbonell. Normalment constituïen l'entrada monumental a les ciutats. Acostumen a tenir un arc, i alguns arriben als tres. D'aquesta època destaquen els arcs de Titus i Constantí, a Roma, i a casa nostra l'arc de Berà al Tarragonès i l'arc de Cabanes a la Plana Alta. Austin Creative Reuse hosted two materials drive for Austin educators: school teachers (public, private, charter), after school teachers, day care providers, etc. They received materials for use in their classrooms and programs. We collected materials from the community and local businesses and distributed to Austin area educators. They were so appreciative and we were happy to support the community.

EarthNest ist der Gewinner-Entwurf eines internationalen Wettbewerbs
Die Einweihung erfolgte am 14. November 2024, dem 140. Jahrestag der „Afrika-Konferenz“ in Berlin, auf der der afrikanische Kontinent unter den europäischen Staaten aufgeteilt worden ist.
EarthNest ist ein Werk der dekolonialen Heilung, ein gemeinschaftlicher Tempel, der Communities zusammenführt, um ihre Geschichte zurückzugewinnen. Sein unterirdischer Abschnitt beherbergt heimische Erde aus ehemaligen Kolonien, und sein oberirdischer Kegel wird in violetten Farbtönen beleuchtet. Communities aus ehemaligen Kolonien werden zu Feierlichkeiten wie der Enthüllung eingeladen. Gemeinsam sammeln die Künstler*innen »Erdgeschichten«, die rituell erzählt und in traditionellen Steingutöfen platziert werden. Es wird außerdem einen Podcast zu diesen Geschichten geben.
Die von der Musgum-Architektur inspirierte mutterleibähnliche Form, besteht aus einer geflochtenen Struktur, die dem Nest afrikanischer Webervögel ähnelt. Das Nest vermittelt die Beziehung zwischen Erde und Himmel sowie den Fluss der Zeit. Indem sie sich um die Ahnenerde kümmern, kultivieren die Künstler*innen die Hoffnung auf eine andere möglich Zukunft und lernen von den Webervögeln als Boten des Globalen Südens. EarthNest dekolonisiert die westliche Logik des Reichdenkmals und dessen Bejahung männlicher Souveränität. Anstatt ein patriarchales Denkmal auf einer höheren Ebene zu platzieren, wie es von Eroberern errichtet wurden, haben sich die Künstler*innen entschieden, ein teilweise unterirdisches Denkmal zu weben. Dieses soll sich mit der Erde verbinden und gleichzeitig die Leichtigkeit der Luft umarmen, die durch seine offene Struktur strömt. Das eingenistete Denkmal besteht aus Bronzestielen, die aus wiederverwertetem Material geflochtenen sind. Anstatt auszubeuten, wird umgestaltet, um die Völker und Territorien zu ehren, die unter der Gewalt des Kolonialismus gelitten haben oder ausgelöscht wurden.
Die Künstler*innen stellen sich vor, dass die Menschen in Berlin, die in der Nachbarschaft leben und arbeiten, in ihrem Alltag hier durchgehen, darin sitzen und miteinander essen. Es wird auch ein wichtiger Ort des Gedenkens und des Versammelns werden. Die Künstler*innen stellen sich ein lebendiges Denkmal vor, das die Erinnerungen unserer Ahnen ehrt und die Träume von einer Welt bewahrt, in der viele Welten gedeihen können.

Organic soil materials, including fibric (top), hemic (middle), and sapric (lower) materials. Hemic soil materials are organic soil materials that are moderately decomposed. They are intermediate between the highly decomposed sapric soil materials and the slightly decomposed fibric soil materials. Before rubbing, hemic soil materials have moderate amounts of fibers that can be identified as to their biological origin. The organic material has undergone some physical and chemical alteration, but about 1/3 to 2/3 of the volume is fibers before rubbing. After rubbing however, few intact fibers remain.
