This metal shutter is different from the other ones I have found. It resembles more of a gate. The rustiness shows the age of the building, and how long this place has been abandoned.

MATERIALS:

-acrylic paint

(Pink, Purple, Blue, White, Green, & Yellow)

-white canvas (very thin in height)

-Filbert Brush

-Rigger Brush

-Flat Brush

-Glitter white gel

PROCESS:

First, I started by painting the background with a mixture of green and white to create a mixture of three ombre effects. I started with a light color on the bottom right corner of the canvas and uphill it started turning darker. Then, I painted three separate circles to create my base for the flowers and I created two different shades for each separate color such as the blue, purple, and pink by mixing in white. I used my Filbert Brush to create the flowers. Next, I dabbed a spot of yellow to the center of each flower. To add more detail, I used the flat brush to paint the leaves by mixing a mixture of two different greens. Once my painting finished drying, I finished it up with the glitter white gel to give it more of a detailed effect. Overall, I liked how my painting turned out and if I were to change something I would have added another base coat on the flowers.

Hope Construction Materials PCAs at Hope Cement Works. Heard it never lasted long!

We invited a range of designers, architects, engineers and makers looking for new materials to incorporate into their practice. Participants got hands-on with conductive and thermochromic inks, low-melt and impact protection polymers and shape-memory metals.

This afternoon event, organized in collaboration with Brunel’s Human Centred Design Institute, offered a chance to experiment and prototype with a range of unusual but commercially available materials. Guests were also introduced to the material at the heart of the Light.Touch.Matters research project: a flexible OLED and piezoelectric combination that responds to touch with luminescence. In a group discussion, we learnt more about the behavior, potential and limitations of these materials and explored how they might inform design practice.

Missing out on the pork jerky love :(

I felt a little more human today, all the tubes gone, but I was still having to take quite a lot of morphine for the pain.......in between sleeping I had a little photography related reading to do.

[Sorry for the mass upload while I catch up with my 365 postings, all though may be in vein (more to follow) as I am not sure I will be able to continue with this one due to circumstances out of my control]
