Mammoth Cave is a large limestone cave 21 km (13 mi) south of the town of Margaret River in south-western Western Australia, and about 300 km (190 mi) south of Perth. It lies within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and is surrounded by karri and marri forest. There have been extinct animal fossils found in Mammoth Cave.

La semana pasada, el martes para ser exactos, en mi país y en pleno siglo XXI, un matrimonio de pensionistas se suicidó por no poder afrontar sus deudas y una amenaza de desahucio. Mientras, cientos de corruptos -políticos sobre todo- gozan de la libertad y privilegios que ellos mismos han construido a su medida. En semejante escenario me siento especialmente a disgusto, y me cuesta mucho hallar el equilibrio necesario como para mostrar la belleza del mundo en que vivimos y a la vez enfrentarme a una realidad que cada día me gusta menos. Como decía Pablo Neruda, "sucede que a veces me canso de ser hombre", es más, me avergüenzo de ser hombre...Esta foto va por esa pareja, que quizás ande a la busca de un mundo mejor y más justo.

it happens that sometimes I get tired of being a man...

Last week, on Tuesday to be exact, in my country, deeply involved in the XXI century, a couple of pensioners committed suicide for being unable to meet its debts and a threat of eviction. Meanwhile, also in my country, hundreds of corrupt people -politicians particularly- enjoy the freedom and privileges that they have built for themselves. In such a scenario I feel especially at ease, and think it's very hard to find the balance needed to show the beauty of the world we live in and also face a reality that every day I like least. As said the poet Pablo Neruda, "it happens that sometimes I get tired of being a man", or more explicitly, I am ashamed to be a man...This photo is for them, perhaps in search of a world better and more fair.
