Mark and Michelle - expecting a new bundle of joy at the end of January. This session was done too early. Michelle wasnt showing much. A very fun couple to work with. We tried to schedule a 2nd session without any luck. FUN NOTE: I was the first to know the baby's name!!!!

I wasn't sure if i was gonna keep this image or not. but i kept coming back to it. I haven't become comfortable using high key images yet...but the more I come back to this one the more I like it. I'd really like some opinions here.....
The renaissance-style ark at Bevis Marks Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in Britain.
Bevis Marks Synagogue is the "cathedral" synagogue of the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish Community of London, and celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2001.
Interestingly, although the ark looks as though it's made of yellow and green marble, inset with wooden doors, it is in fact made entirely of wood, painted to look like marble.
Photo credit goes to my friend, Kathi (she wanted to try out my camera and now she's in love with it), but I still like this one a lot. It was right before his at-bat; he really looks deep in thought, yes?

The Mark IV shows the distinctive Rhomboid shape of early British tanks. Approximately 1220 Mark IVs were build (including "Male", "Female", and tenders.
Apparently Mark likes to wear Adidas flip-flops (you know - freshman year of college bathroom style) to interviews, but this time he came with real shoes.
My mate turned up at the weekend for a coffee, I had to snap a few shots of him.

Just got back from a week away at College having just made it to there after spending last weekend in Paris.
This was the best shot I managed to grab of Mark Cavendish, who went on to win the stage, his sixth this Tour. With fellow Brit Bradley Wiggins completing an arguably even greater feat to finish in 4th overall, this years Tour has been Britain's best.
Busy essay writing this weekend, I'll hopefully have time to sort a few more pics before we head off on our next holiday (to Guernsey) on Wednesday.

Mark Freuder Knopfler, OBE (born 12 August 1949) is a British singer songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and film score composer. He is best known as the lead guitarist, lead singer, and songwriter for the rock band Dire Straits, which he co-founded with his younger brother, David Knopfler, in 1977.
Since Dire Straits disbanded in 1995, Knopfler has recorded and produced seven solo albums, and, as with his previous band, produced many hit songs.[1] He has composed and produced film scores for eight films, including Local Hero (1983), Cal (1984), The Princess Bride (1987), and Wag the Dog (1997).[2]
In addition to his work with Dire Straits and as a solo artist and composer, Knopfler has recorded and performed with many prominent musicians, including Chet Atkins, Chris Botti, John Anderson, the Chieftains, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Bryan Ferry, George Jones, Emmylou Harris, Jools Holland, Sonny Landreth, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Sting, and James Taylor, sometimes working as a session musician. He has produced albums for Tina Turner, Bob Dylan, and Randy Newman.
Knopfler is a fingerstyle guitarist and was ranked 27th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.[3] Knopfler and Dire Straits have sold in excess of 120 million albums to date.[4][5] A four-time Grammy Award winner, Knopfler is the recipient of the Edison Award, the Steiger Award and the Ivor Novello Award, as well as holding three honorary doctorate degrees in music from universities in the United Kingdom

Mark is also the conductor of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, my favorite acapella choir. This was taken during the PASINAYA FESTIVAL 2009 last February 1 at CCP, Manila.
So today marks the day when Mark III has entered my hands along with a Nikon 700. My husband just couldn't resist to try out the competitor. I am glad that I have still 1 week and a few days off so I can take out my two new friends. So far I can say that they both take excellent photos, but in my opinion, the canon controls make more sense and are easier to access.

The ruins of Puerco Pueblo in Petrified Forest National Park. Arizona. From the National Park Service: "Moving from scattered, small villages into a large 100-room pueblo was one way that the ancestral Puebloan people adapted to a series of droughts from A.D. 1215 through 1299, during the Pueblo IV period. Puerco Pueblo is located near the Puerco River, a major drainage that bisects the park. The river would have been a more reliable source of water for crops than the reduced summer rains. Farming of corn, beans, and squash was moved to the floodplains and terraces along the river.
At its largest size around A.D. 1300, Puerco Pueblo may have been home to about 200 people within 100-125 rooms. The one-story high village of sandstone blocks was built around a rectangular plaza. Without doors or windows in the exterior walls of the pueblo, entry into the village was by ladders over the exterior wall and across the log, brush, and mud roofs of the room blocks.
Rooms around the plaza were used for storage and as living quarters. Within the plaza, three underground, rectangular kivas have been identified. The unusual shape of the kivas indicates strong Mogollon influence from the south."
