I'm actually quite surprised at how these two shots turned out. Must have taken about half an hour to get right and irritated the hell out of Luana because her hair kept flying into her eyes lol

Nachdem im Jahr 2010 die Doppeltelegrafen entlang der deutschen Ostbahn fielen, mussten 2011 neue Motive für den "Knicker" her.
Am 8. August 2011 entschied ich mich für die Überleitstelle Trebnitz (Mark) samt Stellwerk 'Tzf' und Formhauptsignal. 232 379-8 mit CS 49905 (Kostrzyn - Gummern).

Schooners lined up today for the start of the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race. It was an overcast day with only a 5-7 knot wind so not a very dramatic start but still wonderful to see. This year there are 17 schooners actually racing and a few more that were anchored near the starting line. The race started with canon shot at 13:30 and by 20:00 they had barely gone 40 nautical miles. Will be a long night for this 115+ mile race.
The race is a fund raiser for bay conservation. Some of the vessels contributed but are not racing this year. Though most are from the mid-Atlantic states, we do have one competitor from the UK as well.

My take on The Calling by Mark di Suvero located on the lakefront (O'Donnell Park) in Milwaukee WI just steps away from the world famous Milwaukee Art Museum.
He comes to eat every day and I cherish my time with him so very much!! He is one of my best friends.. I day dream about bringing him in and holding him really close and letting my love explode all over him!!! I love you John Mark..

Hole In The Wall Beach - Davenport California
The rain held off most of the day so I headed south to Santa Cruz. I looked at a few beaches along highway 1 but the sky didn't look all that promising so I continued north. I ended up running into Jim Patterson at Bonny Doon. We walked down and had a look at the area and decided Hole In The Wall would be a better spot for sunset. We made our way down the trail, across the creak that flowed into the ocean and down the beach. Only being on this beach once before, I was open to setup anywhere, but Jim found a nice rock ledge to shoot from. It didn't take long for me to see that this "crack" had a lot of interesting movement in the water so I unpacked my gear, cleaned my filters and setup at the edge.
I have a feeling I ended up in the spot Jim was eyeballing (sorry Jim) due to the fact that he was "running around like a chicken with it's head cut off" (his own words) We both ended up with almost the exact composition but its always interesting to see how the details change from person to person, camera to camera.

Schönberg (Mark) ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Lindow (Mark) im Landkreis Ostprignitz-Ruppin im Land Brandenburg. Hier lebten im Jahre 2001 273 Einwohner. Die Ortschaft Schönberg wird indirekt das erste Mal im Jahre 1365 erwähnt. Der Name stammt wahrscheinlich von der 60 Meter hohen Erhebung Schöne Berg ab. Um 1490 war Schönberg ein Teil der im Kern reichsunmittelbaren Herrschaft Ruppin unter der Landesherrschaft der Grafen von Lindow-Ruppin. Vor 1525 kam es zum Kloster Lindow. Von 1541 bis 1764 gehörte Schönberg zum Amt Lindow (Mark), von 1764 bis 1872 zum Amt Alt Ruppin. Ab 1992 gehörte die Gemeinde zum Amt Lindow (Mark) bis es 2003 ein Ortsteil von Lindow (Mark) wurde. Im Dreißigjährigen Krieg traten in Schönberg große Schäden auf, so waren 1652 von 20 Höfen 14 wüst. In den Jahren 1750, 1766, 1791 und 1796 wurden durch Brände viele Gebäude zerstört. 1896 erhielt Schönberg einen Haltepunkt an der Bahnstrecke Lindow-Löwenberg. 1953 wurde die LPG Typ I Rote Fahne gegründet, daraus wurde 1959 in eine LPG Typ III. Die Kirche steht mitten im Ort an der Dorfstraße. Sie wurde 1689 erbaut. Es ist ein Saalbau aus Fachwerk, an der Westseite befindet sich ein Turm mit Pyramidendach. Der Kanzelaltar ist aus der Bauzeit, ebenso der Taufengel. Die größere von zwei Bronzeglocken stammt möglicherweise aus dem 15. Jahrhundert und hat einen Durchmesser von 87 Zentimeter, die kleiner stammt möglicherweise aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und hat einen Durchmesser von 70 Zentimeter. (Wikipedia)
Taken at the interval of his show last night.
During the show the audience were asked to make proposals for a peoples manifesto that Mark will then try to become law. One of the proposals last night was the banning of pyjamas in the street. It narrowly missed going through but the what did go through was making the abortions act apply here in Northern Ireland along with an end to segregrated schooling.
So when i bounced in after speaking to Lee Marks agent he was going through the proposals just before going back on. I only had a minute to do this and i hope that i have done him justice.
I spoke to him after his reading and he signed a copy of his book for Maah Boy.
Top Top man and an inspiration for sure.
Meant to get this done over Christmas but laziness got in the way so Happy Birthday to no one in particular... or a very belated Merry Christmas LOL!

Finishing Zaamurets inspired a brief WW1 phase and I decided to rebuild my favorite tank of the era, the British-American Mark VIII/Liberty Tank/International. I aimed for a clean look, but it was a pain to shape together regardless.
Taken a few days before Corona virus showed up in Christchurch and government ruled out gathering of 100 people or more.
Might be a while before we are able to go to another, but its a minor problem compared to with what some are dealing with at the moment.

Mark Haven, a friend and a photographer, has died. He was a charming and talented man, and I will miss him. He taught photography at Rochester Institute of Technology for 25 years, and was a founding member of Soho Photo, the city’s oldest cooperative photo gallery.
Bio: "Dropped out of Law School to become photographer in mid 60's. Studied with Diane Arbus 1971 and Garry Winogrand 1970."
