The Royal College of Surgeons, being one of the representations of the British administration in Ireland, was the site of a major gun battle between the government forces and the revolutionary rebels during the famous Easter Rising of 1916. Its columns and portico bear many marks of bullets.
The imposing building on St. Stephen's Green West was completed in 1806.

We did a shoot on top of the Forks parkade in Winnipeg last night, with my studio lights. It was fun, except there were alot of sketchy folks around :/

For the first time ever, two F1 cars raced at the same time on a demonstration street circuit.
Here Mark Webber is about to drive into the lovely cloud of tyre smoke left by his team mate.
On our way home yesterday, we stopped at a service station and I met Mark. We talked for a while and I asked if I could take his photo. He's led a very interesting life.
The following extract is from "The Roof of England" by A.H.Griffin.
The book was published by Robert Hale in 1968 and, obviously, Harry was writing in that year or before. Some of the facts therefore may no longer be true or relevant.
"Quite close to the lower summit [of Caudale Moor] is a cairn topped by a cross. This is the Mark Atkinson Monument and it was erected by his son, Mr. Ion Atkinson, who still lives at Sykeside, Brotherswater, in memory of his father who died nearly forty years ago. Mark Atkinson was a well-known farmer and also the licensee of the Kirkstone Pass Inn, which his son still owns. Before he died he expressed a wish that his ashes should be laid to rest near the summit of Caudale Moor at a place looking out over the pass and the valley he knew so well. Mr. Atkinson owned that part of the fell and his son later added to the holding but recently it was acquired by the National Trust, so that Caudale Moor now belongs to the nation."

The annual Tidewater Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony was on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. More than 100 units marched or performed during this year's annual parade including the U.S. Fleet Forces Band, U. S. Army TRADOC Band, Virginia Beach high school marching bands, and honor guards, high school NJROTC units, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and motorcycle and/or mounted units from the Chesapeake and Virginia Beach Police Departments and the Virginia Beach and Portsmouth Sheriff’s Offices.
Hosted by the Hampton Roads Council of Veterans Organizations (HRCVO) and cosponsored by the American Veterans, this year’s event featured Grand Marshal Duane Trowbridge, a Marine Veteran and Co-Marshal Air Force Veteran Steven J. Combs who currently serves as Deputy Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.
The Veterans Day Parade is sanctioned by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Veterans Day Committee and the mayors of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach, who signed the Veterans Day Proclamation declaring that “citizens, businesses and organizations demonstrate due appreciation, admiration and respect for all veterans who have served our great nation.”

Mark is very fussy about coffee and has been known to order the exotic bean drink at a specific temperature. He's also passionate about art. Not surprisingly, Mark operates a coffee shop that doubles as an art gallery. The art gallery promotes young and emerging artists providing a space to showcase new work and encourage confidence in the artist. Mark tells me that many young artists are nervous about displaying their work, but as soon as they see it in the gallery and watch people interact with the space, their confidence grows. Mark says it's a good feeling to see this positive reaction and to provide a comfortable and inspiring space for art, coffee and jaffles. Groovy.

i'm just a guy in the church, not trained, so be thorough in your critique, if you wouldn't mind. A run-down of the week's events would be printed weekly on the back. It is a 16 month series through the entire book of Mark.
