Produced from 1946 to 1952, the Bentley Mark VI was the first of the company's products to be launched after World War II, and consisted of a 4-door standard steel sports saloon. Announced in May 1946, it was also both the first car from Rolls-Royce with all-steel coachwork and the first complete car assembled and finished at their factory. These very expensive cars were a genuine success, long-term their weakness lay in the inferior steels forced on them by government's post-war controls. Chassis continued to be supplied to independent coachbuilders. Four-door Saloon, two-door saloon and drophead coupe models with bodies by external companies were listed by Bentley along with the Bentley-bodied saloon.
This Bentley factory finished car was given the name Bentley Mark VI standard steel sports saloon. This shorter wheelbase chassis and engine was a variant of the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith of 1946 and, with the same standard steel body and a larger boot became the cautiously introduced Silver Dawn of 1949. The same extended-boot modification was made to the Mark VI body in 1952[6] and the result became known as the R type Bentley.
Mark VI engines and chassis were modified to provide higher performance and sold to be bodied by selected coachbuilders as the first Bentley Continentals, the most expensive production cars in the world and the world's fastest 4/5-seater saloons.
The car was replaced in 1952 by the Bentley R-Type, a variant of the Rolls Royce Silver Dawn, with 5,208 examples produced in its short lifetime.
Mark is very fussy about coffee and has been known to order the exotic bean drink at a specific temperature. He's also passionate about art. Not surprisingly, Mark operates a coffee shop that doubles as an art gallery. The art gallery promotes young and emerging artists providing a space to showcase new work and encourage confidence in the artist. Mark tells me that many young artists are nervous about displaying their work, but as soon as they see it in the gallery and watch people interact with the space, their confidence grows. Mark says it's a good feeling to see this positive reaction and to provide a comfortable and inspiring space for art, coffee and jaffles. Groovy.

The fire mark was invented for the purpose of and used as a guide for the insurance sponsored fire brigades.
This one used to be on the wall of 91 High Street in Rayleigh and will be returning there as part of Rayleigh Town Museum.

Date: February 23rd 2015. Time: 12.35: Apart from the yellow front end, the colours of Freightliner’s loco match those of the menacing Winter sky as a storm approaches Marks Tey from the west. In this wide-angle shot, Class 90, 90047 races ahead of the rain with a Crewe to Felixstowe Freightliner.
ACROSS TRUST Van Hool T816 Altano Jumbulance mark XVI (16) built in 1993. This was the launch in London. Mk 16 was similar to the 1990 Mk 15 Altano but with Van Hool's 'New Look' styling. This vehicle passed to The Jumbulance Trust when ACROSS ceased in 2001
Mark stopped by to help* frame out the windows.
Mark is magical. The angles and compound cuts were brutal, but he cranked out this beauty! IT LOOKS SO GOOD. The windows are angled out and back - It really makes the boat look great.

Mark Lanegan watercolour and ink. This is the large full length version as the previous photo was cropped and taken with instagram on my phone. A print run will follow so all you Lanegan fanatics like me get in touch for an original piece of lanegan collector art. This is referenced from a photograph that I took of Mark in London a few years back. It's cool that it's not from someone else's photo, makes it more exciting for me to do.

This cute fish ornament purchased in Hawaii in a boutique called Katherine's. I bought one for my son Captain Mark, and one for us. Mele Kalikimaka!
