Amazing what a little black marker can do.

Well, this is more fun than funny, but anyhow. She had fun and I found it very funny watching her....and boy oh boy did she scream when I turned off the tap.

I picked my white cap as the piece I wore today, it's a bit difficult to see in the picture. I bought it 12 years ago in The Running Store in Ottawa, in Canada. Although I use it a lot and I pop it in the washing machine regularly it's still almost like new and it serves me well in this hot and sunny city.

A portion of a small sculpture from Mexico (artist unknown).

It could be posted on the "RED" day, but my inspiration just come out today.. :)

So, this is my FORK :D

Thanks to my hubby that help me out with the flash and stuff ♥

For today's challenge I used a couple of pictures I took last year. Everything in this shrine is painted red. I have no idea to what deity this shrine is devoted.

Busy, busy day ahead .... I'll catch up with you all tomorrow!

Have a great weekend!!

Posted to March Photo A Day Challenge #10: Loud

I'm doing a photo-a-day project for March with two other photographers. We're going off a list of daily cues, and interpreting them however we want! I wasn't feeling very creative yesterday, so this one's the obvious interpretation.

This is part of a daily photo project I'm doing with two photographer friends. Check out all of our photos here: www.flickr.com/groups/tebeklie/

I generally prefer older styles of architecture, such as Art Deco & Moderne, Victorian, etc, but I quite like the sweeping, sensuous curves of the glass vaulted roofs running the length of the gallery between Target and David Jones at Chadstone Shopping Centre (www.chadstoneshopping.com.au/home/).

As its website proclaims, Chadstone is "the largest and most fashionable shopping destination in the Southern Hemisphere", and was originally modeled on the massive shopping malls of post-war America. It opened in October 1960, and has been expanding ever since, undergoing many of its largest renovations over the last two decades.

Design firm RTKL have done a smashing job of utilising said glass roofs to open up the interior spaces and flood them with light. The curves add another dimension of beauty to the interiors, creating a delicate and aesthetically-pleasing frame to the gleaming shop-fronts below. I also like the very subtle ripple pattern you can see just beneath the vaulting; it reminds me of the patterns left in the sand at low tide.

The whole centre looks very polished and sophisticated now - a far cry from the dim, dated interiors I remember from when I used to work there in the mid-90s.

My classroom .... empty !

I liked Day 3 and Day 17 the most, and also Days 11, 12 and 15. The least likable ones for me were Days 16 and 24 (really the worst of the lot).

Also, I have a super soft spot for the cheeky chipmunk in Day 5!

Fatmumslim's March Photo a day challenge.

Is there anyone out there that doesn't have at least one smartphone charger plugged by the bed? I always have either a phone or a Kindle plugged in there.

Most of times is in my sofa! but I was out of town and couldn't take a pic in time, so the second place where i relax is in my bed, so I put this old pic of me and ace! :~

My kitty Storm is a super fierce animal. Can you tell?!

I'm doing the MarchPhotoADay on my instagram (coalescex) but I'm not posting every day's photo on flickr, so follow my instagram to see the whole month!

The view from my master bedroom window. We've really had a lovely day today, highs in the low to mid 70s. Mrs Riley and I spent the day in my backyard, recharging our solar batteries. And it was lovely.
