I don't know why this fork is in the grass. But it looked interesting enough with the flower on it.

this cracks me up!

my 8 year old came up with this. it is her clever solution for preventing the ladder to her bunkbed, from clanging against the frame, and therefore, waking up her sister in the morning.

Challenge: YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

When we come home, we put keys in this bowl.

This is one option for today's photo...which one do you like better: my IKEA bed or my IKEA lamp? :P

Taking kids to school in the morning, car keys in the pocket. Funny, I can never get the kids in the car, and when they finally get in, they never want to come out.

You can imagine how many times my name (mummy) was called when the little boy was running down the path and then sure enough fell over and scraped his elbows and knees.

I really love late afternoon light.

Well, I didn't actually verbally speak to my mom today, but she gave me some great news about a childhood friend in an email. Plus, she sent me a Target gift card for my birthday!

I took some other shots, but this one, with the reflection of my daughter's play car, really drew me. I had no idea it was there till I looked at it on my computer. I'm so glad I didn't delete it!

Toronto, Canada. **Day 31 of March Photo A Day. Theme: Where you relax

at first, i was a little embarrassed by the condition of my bedside table and was going to post a pic of the guest room bedside. but what the hell, this is really what it looks like. the basket under the table also has books. and there's LBK too.

This is #11 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "someone you talked to today."

This is my Weimaraner, Kasey. She'll be 14 in June. She was anxious to finish this photo shoot so she could get back to her nap.

Fell behind on the game - will catch up tomorrow, hopefully. :)

88/366 ~ “A fine glass vase goes from treasure to trash, the moment it is broken. Fortunately, something else happens to you and me. Pick up your pieces. Then, help me gather mine.” #marchphotoaday #instagram #trash

Picking up the pieces of a shattered life can be difficult but with each other's help it is made bearable. My heart is heavy today for what the town in Florida is going through with the death of a young boy and the vigilante style treatment of the shooter. There are two sides to every story and I just hate that this boy has died behind a curtain of suspicion - on both his part and that of the community watchman. It is going to be hard to determine what happened that night but I pray that resolution will come before there is more bloodshed.

For the March 20, 2012 photo challenge the word was "Funny" I am in the midst of moving and am not finding much of anything funny at the moment. So here is a photo from my 365 days photos last year that is kind of funny.

Day 3 - You can tell a lot about a person from the tee shirts they wear. So I thought I would do a tee shirt week this week. For the past 15 seasons South Park has been one of my favorite TV shows. I have several tee shirts with South Park characters. This tee shirt has Towlie who likes to get high. His tag line is "I have no idea what is going on." Several years ago I was working a part time job at Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Most of the time I was assigned to the information and help desk. When the store made its quota of Barnes and Noble member cards sales for the week, we were allowed to dress casual on the weekends. One such casual day I wore this tee shirt to work in the help and information booth. The staff got a big laugh out of it, but I don't think any of the customers got the joke.

One year ago today.

I thought about a lot of different ways to put together this picture, and finally settled on cookies. Something especially about the chocolate covered finger speaks to me about the tactile experience of chocolate.

I'm doing a "March Photo a Day" thing over on tumblr - today's prompt was 'UP'. This is my offering. (Taken at Target!)
