This is #17 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "green."

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Day 29 of the March Photo a Day Challenge

Fatmumslim's March Photo a day challenge.

My favorite red shirt! And 33 weeks pregnant too.

My daughter had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy last week. Today's a great day for a smile because she's finally starting to use her voice again!

day 79/366 : funny

day 19 : funny face

This is one funny girl!

This is the end of my dupatta with silver gota, that I wore yesterday.

The boy trying on my sunglasses while waiting in the car to pick up his sister from school.

Day 8 of the March Photo a Day Challenge

My 7-year-old asked me to make split pea soup for dinner tonight. Of course I said yes.

PS -- I did not chop my fingers off, which is a feat for me, as I am very knife-accident prone. In fact, it's been several months, since right before my husband was deployed, that I cut myself. But the last time I went, I had him take me to the ER as my cut wouldn't stop bleeding. At least my knives are so sharp that it didn't hurt at all.

Bought some little glass jars to hold spices while at the mall today. Not dishwasher safe so had to wash them by hand. Fun.

Day 6 of the March Photo a Day Challenge

Day 5 of March Photo a Day Challenge

This is #4 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "bedside."

Is it narcissistic that I wake up to my own reflection every morning? LOL

Actually, I like to have the iPad nearby, in case I'm sleepless and want to watch something on Hulu or Netflix, or listen to music.

This is #30 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "toy."

When I was in high school, a friend made this stuffed monkey in home economics class. I saw her with it in the hallway and I grabbed it from her and said "I want it!" So, she let me have it. He's always been one of my favorite possessions. His name is Kyle.

This is #24 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "an animal."

Kasey's relaxing after a long day of napping.

Everything and the kitchen sink... it feels weird to take a picture of your sink full of dishes and share that ugly image with the whole world. I thought about doing all of the dishes first to take a picture of a clean sink, but somehow that felt like cheating, like performing for an audience that I was afraid might judge me. That's foolish. A sink full of our dishes at least means that we ate food that we made, and that's certainly something to feel good about, or at least I hope that it is.

To fork or not to fork, when it comes to pizza -- THAT is the question.

For the record, I rarely fork. But I also rarely fold.

Or the guardians thereof. I love this little scrub brush lady, but it was a hard thing to get her away from my kids so I could use her for her intended purpose. They thought it was a toy, you see. She's infinitely useful for scrubbing fruits and veggies.

The kitchen sink itself is terribly boring. I live in Navy housing and it's just your average aluminum sink that's seen better days.

The final photo for the month is a place where you relax. On the off chance that there is any down time in the week, I like the corner seat on the couch (a free couch at that). The corner seat has a perfect place to set an array of beverages, and is just in the sun during the afternoon. A perfect reading / passing out from exhaustion spot.

Challenge: FUNNY

In playing Words With Frineds (like Scrabble) in Facebook I tried to play the word OK. I got the above error...and had to click on a button that says OK. I thought this was funny.

Today my girls and I went to a birthday party at Mandy's house. Her daughter Sophia (not pictured) turned 4. Of course, there is nothing quiet about a four-year-old's birthday party. But oh, look at that joy!

Day 9 of the March Photo a Day Challenge

The boy also said 'can you call this one 'I found a swamp'?

And now you know one of my many nicknames.

My daughter had a friend over to play today. They weren't actually loud, but from the looks of my daughter's room after the playdate, they may as well have brought the entire house down!

Two things that make me smile -- hot, delicious coffee on a very blustery day, and my Emergency! mug. Since my dad went home today after a lovely weekend with him, I had to find some of my favorite things.

Day 16 of the March Photo a Day Challenge

Bonus... find Kasey in the photo.

March Photo A Day Prompt 7: Something You Wore

My very old converse - these things are close to 27 years old - very old skool - very purple (and these were made in the usa, not taiwan or wherever it is now) by far my favourite shoes.

Day 2 of March Photo A Day Challenge

This is #2 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "fruit."

A bag of apples.

This is #3 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "your neighbourhood."

I tried to take photos in my neighborhood today. But, it was such a gray and rainy day that I couldn't get a photo that I thought was suitable. So, I took this photo of my computer screen displaying this aerial photo of my neighborhood. My house is the one marked with the orange pin.

One of the two stairways at my office, which is a converted Catholic school building.

March 7 - What I Wore. I took todays photo theme a little serious. Almost anything you would want to know about my past can be told by looking at What I Wore in the past. So I opened an old jewelry box and here is what I found.

Ingraved identifcation bracelet from a high school girlfriend. An AID's awareness button I used to wear in memory of friends who died from AIDS. A U.S. Flag I wore on my lapel after experiencing 9/11 in Washington DC. Two watches. One from someone I used to date, the other a gift from a job farewell. Two buttons in plastic boxes commerating years of Federal job service. Two white S's and a white star from from my time as a Lieutenant in the Salvation Army. Two blue S's from my time as a Soldier in The Salvation Army. My 1970 high school graduation ring. Wedding rings and various other rings from various relationships. A Realtor's lapel button I wore when I sold real estate. Some political buttons and two humorous buttons showing I do have a sense of humor.

I guess this shows what a pack rat I am also.
