This is #26 in a March photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "key."

I am so very excited to bring one of my favourite red chairs into a new setup beside my bed. Happy happy me.

So everyone probably has a photo of something St. Patrick's Day-ish today, but green isn't really my thing. Therefore, this is a photo of the two totally empty rooms in our new house (except for the green tennis ball, which the kids were rolling around earlier). The former owners of the house decided to decorate with pastel-mint-green carpet, green curtains and pink paint. Lovely.

I made this lamb ragu last night (a recipe from Nigella Lawson) and it was so good we ate it all up, then I made more for lunch with the leftover ingredients! Absolutely delicious!

Funny. Easter bunny masks hanging on the headboard of my bed.

Really, is there anything better than fresh vine-ripened tomatoes? No. No, there isn't.

Well, if it's the first meal you've eaten all day, even if it's 3 o'clock in the afternoon, it's still breakfast, right? Here I am making ramen the "right" way -- a spicy Korean version with lots of seaweed. Yum. My husband and I have arguments over ramen. He crushes the noodles in the package, pours it into a bowl, sprinkles the seasoning on top, and then adds boiling water. He prefers to eat it while the noodles are still crunchy. But I make it the "right" way, in a pot on the stove, simmering the noodles until they become translucent and soft.

My bedside table is not it's prettiest right now...it's got a tray of medicines for E since she's been down with a viral. Today, she is much better, so hopefully this will be replaced with something prettier in the next couple of days! She's been having homeopathic medicines and a couple of allopathic zinc vitamins.

Even though I'm doing the daily photo challenge, I couldn't convince myself to turn on the computer on sunday, so I'll just be posting my sunday pics a day late. I Need at least one day off a week from the computer. And I feel much better for it :-)

Challenge: SOME YOU TALKED TO TODAY

Okay..I admit it...I sometimes talk to myself...but so far I've never talked back!! :oD

Toronto, Canada. **Day 12 of March Photo A Day. Theme: Fork.

Challenge: FORK

I sometimes speak with a FORKed tongue!

Only one side of the bed gets mussed, now that my husband is on an eight-month deployment to the Mediterranean. But as you can see, I have plenty of books to keep me company.

My mid-morning cup of coffee.

Just after I took the after shot....my camera lens got stuck. So no more pics for a while till I get it sorted out. Really bummed about it....will not be doing the daily shots till I get it fixed.

Banana ice cream using only one healthy ingredient - bananas.

Challenge: GREEN

A long time ago I found out that I am decened from the Irish. My ancestors were Protestant and of the Orangemen. This means that we wear Orange (not Green...as that is the Catholic side). I feel much more comfortable in Orange but ocassionally wear green just to conform.

Waiting outside my son's preschool in the car... hoping the rain lets up so we can walk up to the door without getting completely drenched, and waiting for my daughter to wrangle herself into her raincoat.

Stick a fork in it, I'm done with you, Monday. You and your time change have made me sleeepy. I bring you today's theme, a Daffodil pattern fork from my kitchen drawer. I never use it, I polish it and put it back in the drawer usually. I inherited it from a friend's aunt when she passed. I am tempted to ask some artists in town to turn it into some jewelery so I can appreciate it on a daily basis...I dunno, for now it can stay in the drawer. :)

This wasn't my original idea. But that one didn't pan out so you get another last-minute, obvious one. :(

Toronto, Canada. **Day 8 of March Photo A Day. Theme: Window

My company's staff is small but hard working, as you can see.

‎76/366 ~ And I wear my sunglasses at night so I can, so I can Keep track of the visions in my eyes. Corey Hart #marchphotoaday ~ sunglasses @ Pizza Hut #marchphotoaday - sunglasses instagr.am/p/IQPw5tE5gG/

I can never find my sunglasses when I need them. Most of the time they are stretched beyond face use because I much prefer to use them as a headband! Today's March Photo A Day theme is sunglasses. I'm too busy taking photos of the awesome stormy skies to remember that I haven't snapped the theme yet. So I ask Frank to put his on, no go. We're sitting at Pizza Hut waiting on wings to go and we meet up with Al Griggs (former scuba buddy who always seems to pop up when there is lightning) he has no sunglasses either. If you know me, you know I've never met a stranger and many times there's no one stranger than me. Out pops the pizza delivery guy and I say, "You got sunglasses?"

"Yes, he says!" "On you?" "In the car." So I followed him and he was so cool to throw them on and let me get right up in his face for this awesome photo! I love that you can see the storm brewing and the Pizza Hut sign. Just another night in Hooterville. Thanks, Pizza Guy! — at Pizza Hut.

This is a single exposure, straight out of camera that I made Thursday night. So are the other two in comments...one of which has a ghost car in it! :)

I love the nighttime. I even have a tattoo of a crescent moon. I've always been a night owl -- totally opposite from my sister, who is a morning lark. ;) My dear friend Jo made me this lovely gift, filling a moon-shaped bottle with little stars she made. I keep it on my desk, and it makes me smile every time I see it.

This sign taunts me. I drive by the house every day. It hasn't been lived in in years. It's full to the brim with stuff I need to see. It drives me crazy that I can't go in and find a treasure or two.

Day 2: Photo a Day: March 2012 Challenge. Theme: Your drawing of a cat.

I did this drawing in first year University, in an illustration class ... I'm still quite proud of it ... mainly because it took me so long ... the whole drawing is made up of tiny dots!

I did actually take photos these days, although it took me three weeks to get around to uploading them! And even then, I am only uploading these two more for the month of March. Unfortunately, I lost interest at the end; the prompts weren't doing it for me.
