We saw lots of birds and snails yesterday, but we were riding bikes in the rain and I didn't want to bring out my camera. So I photographed my housemate's shoes when I got home. :P
In hindsight, I wish I had braved a couple shots of those snails...snails are so weird-looking!

When I was on my way back home today in the morning I looked up and saw this! A ship sailing in the springlike air right above my head!
Today Grace had a half day at school, so I took the girls to lunch at Doumar's, our local drive-in. It's been featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" on the Food Network. Why?? Because it's awesome. Two pork bbq (eastern North Carolina bbq, with the vinegar sauce) sandwiches with slaw plus a limeade is one of my favorite meals in all the world. Soooo tasty.
And yes, they still do curb service. If you park under the awnings, a car hop will come to your car and bring your food. But you can go inside too. They still make all their own ice cream cones on the machine they had on Coney Island in the early 1900s.

The Braille Institutte photography class had a fieldtrip to Sunnylands...on the Annenberg estate.
Tarde pero seguro!!! Esta vez trataré de cumplir el reto en tiempo y forma. También de hacer cosas diferente! :)
I came really close to just staying in bed today. After we had all that snow to clear yesterday, today it is
-32c / -24f (with the wind chill) . I just want spring to get here really quick .... PLEASE!!

Friday means heading off into the city after work to shop, wander around, and make interesting new discoveries.
It means disappearing down lane-ways, looking up at things above street level, and following well-worn pathways around the central business district.
Tonight it also meant food - climbing these iconic wooden stairs to grab a big bowl of pumpkin ravioli at the Italian Waiters Club.
Taking a picture of breakfast at 11:00 on a Sunday night seems a little absurd... but then again, what's normal these days.
This late night snack looks remarkably like my breakfast many days, so I think in that way, it counts.
I designed my tattoo... I have always loved the Moon as a symbol... but now, I would not have made THIS tattoo, maybe one tiny full painted Moon....
I am thinking about having a new one on my back, my name in arabic caligraphy, in a upright position... let´s see!
I didn't take this with the intention of being my "window" photo but
forgot to take one the rest of the day so I guess this will have to
do. (I really took this picture because of the kitty on the window
ledge! How did he get there??)
Our kitchen sink is not as photogenic as Leslie's...

Today my daughter asked for me to put her hair up in pigtails. Of course I said YES. Her curls kill me.
Lauren brought home these toy cars one night after we had both had a long day. You blow into the tail pipe to inflate the balloon and as the air escapes it propels the car across the floor.
We spent the better part of an hour racing them against and into one another - hooting and hollering most of the while.
