In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.

Fall leaf from a Japanese Maple in my Napa garden.

Don't know how I slept through this!

A maple tree in my backyard.

If you can't be in the mountains with the golden aspens, the next best thing is a maple tree in a park!

The color on the leafes of these small mapletrees surprise me so much !

A maple tree sapling at Mud Lake in Nepean (Ottawa), Ontario, Canada.

In the background, is a dandelion puff ball in mid bloom.

Dandelions were introduced to Canada from Europe, apparently because immigrants from Europe wanted a flower that reminded them of their native lands.

When the maple reborn...it's Spring

MAPLE LEAVES

All the leaves on the maple trees

are fiery red in the fall.

To see one in fall's glory

before the wintry call

is to witness nature's beauty

before the leaves fly away.

Then our eyes much adjust to barky limbs

for the fiery red can't stay.

and the maple tree ....

Study of maple leaves turning colors in early Autumn. Photographed in Oakdale, Minnesota, 29 September 2020.

This same tree had a "tongue" of maple sap dripping out of the mouth last Spring.

Turns all orange in color when the cold weather gets to a neighbor's yard in Carmel, New York.

Tintype App, The distinctive fruits are called samaras, "maple keys", "helicopters", "whirlybirds" or "polynoses". These seeds occur in distinctive pairs each containing one seed enclosed in a "nutlet" attached to a flattened wing of fibrous, papery tissue. They are shaped to spin as they fall and to carry the seeds a considerable distance on the wind.

The old Maple Tree Inn. It was a historic restaurant in Blue Island, just south of Chicago. I only went here once for a beer back in 2016. I remember it being a cool old restaurant and bar. It had tin ceilings and an old bar dating back to the 1890's

Maple buds, (Acer sp.)

Winter was pretty gentle this year, and the Old Man is bowing out early it appears if this coming forecast bears out. Hoping so, haven't pulled the camera out in a LONG time.

In the snow of Winter 2015. The sun doesn't even get to shine on it because of the pine trees blocking the Winter sunshine. This is in our front yard in Carmel,NY.

A fire destroyed the Chicago Blue Island Maple Tree Inn restaurant. The building was built in the 1890's and the restaurant was here for decades. I heard it was a gas fuel fire. I do hope the Maple Tree Inn will be rebuilt. I went for a beer here back in 2016. Wish I went back a few more times

Come gather 'round, people, wherever you roam

And admit that the waters around you have grown

And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone

If your time to you is worth savin'

Then you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin'

Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen

And keep your eyes wide, the chance won't come again

And don't speak too soon, for the wheel's still in spin

And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'

For the loser now will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin'

Come senators, congressmen, please heed the call

Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall

For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled

The battle outside ragin'

Will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls

For the times they are a-changin'

Come mothers and fathers throughout the land

And don't criticize what you can't understand

Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command

Your old road is rapidly aging

Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand

For the times they are a-changin'

The line it is drawn, the curse it is cast

The slow one now will later be fast

As the present now will later be past

The order is rapidly fadin'

And the first one now will later be last

For the times they are a-changin'

Life is beauty, admire it.

Life is a dream, realize it.

Life is a challenge, meet it.

Life is a duty, complete it.
