This quiet country road going through a sugar bush, is located in our quiet little town of St-Ephrem de Beauce, Quebec, Canada, and is always beautiful in autumn. Only a few minutes from home.
This one is from a couple of years ago but I never got it posted.

Kyoto Gardens is a popular part of Holland Park in London. The garden is a traditional Japanese garden with tranquil tiered waterfalls and a serene pond full of Koi Carp. There are Japanese maple trees (pictured) and peacocks wandering around to add to the atmosphere.

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour like this Japanese Maple which I caught just on the turn one sunny early Autumn day in May.
Melbourne experienced a wonderful Indian summer this year, and as a result, not only are there still plenty of beautiful blooms about, but the Autumnal colours were brilliant.
The fall birch forest has a special beauty of its own. The beautiful birch bark, the yellow leaves with intermingling red maple leaves, and the illuminating light make you want to stand and revel in the splendor of it all!

As the sun was setting those colors looked beautiful,
I am in front of the waterfall looking at the birdhouse,
Soon they will be tenants there,
Free room and board for our feathered friends.
This was not shot with a drone! It was shot from the Lake Of The Clouds lookout in the Porcupine Mountains in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We did walk down to the water(the Carp River) which was very steep and tiring, but worth it.
I used a tripod, polarizing filter, Aperture 3, and ONOne Software to create this image.
This is a truly beautiful part of the world. It is unpopulated, pristine, and set along Lake Superior, the largest body of freshwater in the world.

Birch And Maple Leaf...
In the fall of 2021 we went to Heart lake to check out the changing colours. We were not disappointed, the forest was bathed in a golden yellow light; the golden hue cast its brilliance upon everything in sight.
A well placed leaf on a pure white birch made this a very fun and interesting photo to edit.

Der Große und der Kleine Ahornboden sind zwei landschaftlich beeindruckende Almböden mit alten Berg-Ahornbeständen im nördlichen Karwendel. Beide liegen in Österreich und sind Teil eines tirolerisch-bayrischen Landschafts- und Naturschutzgebiets (seit 1928).
The Big and Small Ahornboden are two impressive scenic pastures with old sycamore stands in the northern Karwendel. Both are in Austria and are part of a Tyrolean-Bavarian landscape and nature conservation area (since 1928).
I think that autumn is often the best season for leaves. Whilst we all enjoy seeing new leaves in spring after the barren season of winter, it is in autumn that we get to notice all the fine veining, delicate textures and sharp edges of the leaves as they change colour and array themselves in their autumnal costumes of reds, browns, oranges and golds.
Autumn is now well and truly with us here in Melbourne, and the cooler winds of seasonal change are blowing away the remnants of summer, like it tosses the red, gold and orange leaves that carpet the ground.
The other day was a perfect autumnal day in Melbourne: sunny, but not too bright, warm, but not hot, and perfectly still. Therefore I thought I'd go for a walk and take advantage of the sunny conditions and take some photographs. This includes these wonderful golden yellow English maple leaves in the inner northern Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy.

This is a bit of experimentation technically and artistically. And a nice play on words. Everyone does piers. I love these just as much as anyone as they seem to call on some inner voice. A jumping off point into a more spiritual world.
This is one of my favorite lake/reservoirs in Vermont.
I finally managed to get out shooting yesterday. This past month has been so busy, and the winter weather struck a little early this year. I still didn't have a lot of time, so stuck around home, but it felt great to be at it again. This is our neighbour's ornamental Maple Tree. Every year it has splendid colours, and every year I try to capture it well, but it is so thick, I have found it difficult. The new lens I picked up sure helped this time...
I know I've been off Flickr for quite awhile. I'll try to get caught up with you all before I have to break off again. I fear it will take me all winter to get truly caught up the way I want...but I'm determined to do it! :))

I was doing some street and urban photography in downtown Toronto and found this beautifully coloured Maple tree. It has been a great year for autumn colours in Ontario after a very dry August.
These are the only red leaves I have seen this year, the colors for the most part seem very muted, only a few places with pretty color.
I took this at Beaver Park yesterday, it was very overcast and damp but seeing this really brightened my day!
A Northern Flicker is a woodpecker that oftentimes digs for insects in the ground, hence the dirt or mud on the beak of this male.
Turned to the side, this male has the red mustache of the Northern (Red-shafted) Flicker and the back red bar of the Northern Flicker that mostly lives in the East Coast. According to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s allaboutbirds.org, ‘The two forms hybridize extensively in a wide zone from Alaska to the panhandle of Texas.’
