These cones remind me of my brief time visiting Baie-Comeau where they sell candy from the front door of their apartments. These would be amongst the offerings.

One can see all the dazzling shades of autumn along the 34 mile road (the picturesque Kancamagus Hwy. from Conway to Lincoln which is amongst the top 10 scenic routes in USA) with thousands of red and yellow, maple and birch trees on either sides.
The range and intensity of autumn colors is greatly influenced by the weather. This maple tree with the bright yellow and green leaves fascinated me with the contrast. Its leaf is also featured on the Canadian Flag.
