Maples (Acer spp.) can be some of Autumn's best standouts. This particular Acer saccharum (Sugar Maple) popped with several shades of yellow as the light found its way through the oak-hickory canopy of the wooded hillside. This was taken with a 28-135mm Lens.
Recently, I just took a trip to Tokyo. It was the first time I had been there. This was one of the first pictures that I took. I took it right after I left my hotel for the first time in an attempt to find a place to eat. I didn't end up eating here, but I felt like this captured my first observations of this great city. I really liked seeing the Japanese Maple, lantern and banner all in the same picture. Enjoy!
