A delicious treat of candied Maple Syrup. So yummy!! Recipe blogged @ rosinahuber.blogspot.com/2011/01/maple-snow-candy-recipe....
Spotted this row of maples at the Johnson Creek Fred Meyer a few weeks ago and they looked GORGEOUS with their fall colors! They were right at their peak and I was lucky enough to be here in the late afternoon with the sun shining from the low western sky. As beautiful as these trees are, though, they are surrounded by parking lots, roads, gas stations, buildings, and powerlines, so getting a shot without all the background crap was definitely challenging and I still had to clone out some powerlines in Photoshop. I wished I could magically transport these trees to the middle of some lovely park!
Back to the maple grove...
There were so many different views from beneath the trees. All I had to do was just turn around, and there was another shot...
Since I get home past dark, I grabbed a quick iPhone shot this morning of the sunset maple on the south side of the house. It's spectacular right now ... even more so at sunset.
The driveway Maple is almost in full color. I have loved watching it become more colorful daily...:)
