Seems far too soon for the turning of the leaves, but here we go.

The maple trees at Stadelhofen square shed their last colored leaves, as Forchbahn der Be8/8 29/30 waits for early returning commuters.

Red maples are also called swamp maples in New England, because they grow in marshy spots. Their spring buds and flowers are red.

Former fosters Maple (Dillydally) and Muffin (Ouiser) came for a visit!

It's called an "October Glory" maple, but at this latitude it never reaches peak color until November. After 11 years, it's really starting to fulfill its potential in my front yard.
