Construction is moving along at our newest elementary school construction project Maple Grove!
Construction crews are working on installing heating and cooling units for classrooms, painting the second floor, and installing flooring.
The new elementary school will open to students at the start of the 2022-23 school year.
Obvious how this maple got its name. As the tree ages, stripping fades in the trunk bur remains in the yundger branches.
A CH-47 Chinook helicopter from the Nebraska National Guard’s Company B, 2-135th Aviation Regiment (General Support Aviation Battalion), Grand Island, Nebraska, conducts a sling load training mission, May 16, during Exercise Maple Resolve 2018. More than 150 Soldiers from the Nebraska Army National Guard’s 1-376th Aviation Regiment traveled to Camp Wainwright in Alberta, Canada, May 8-24, for Exercise Maple Resolve 2018, the Canadian Army’s most comprehensive annual training event designed for any contingency operation. This year’s Maple Resolve included approximately 6,000 service members from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and France. Working with Canadian Armed Forces, primarily from 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (5 CMBG), Nebraska’s aviation battalion served two primary missions, including 24-hour medical evacuation training and support, and air support to all ground defenses. In swedish its called "Blodlönn" its a dark red maple - dont understand why its come out this color in my cam :)
