Fall was good this year. We actually had soem color. This is part of a small glade at the park I walk the dogs at daily when there is enough light after work.
I drove to Ohiopyle State Park in southwest Pennsylvania on the weekend and was amazed by the fall foliage that has POPPED! Simply amazing! I am quite lucky to live out here with the great fall colors in the abundant forests in the area. I used the Orton Effect I learned from Darwin Wiggett on this shot to give a more painterly-like image.

This Japanese maple, in Camden, in southern Arkansas USA, was planted in memory of my nephew Will. Will left this life while still a teen. We miss him. His tree is growing to be a lovely memorial.
The undulating lines of the branches of the maples are eyecatching. Very unmodern. Curl, curl, curl. Blossom after blossom. William Morris would like this and so do I.
