The suns casts its last glows over the city before it sinks beneath the houses and the hills. A chilly breeze shifts in and you lace your fingers through mine, but the leaves of fire offer us warmth and comfort. The trees whisper their last secrets before their bear season.

Maple trees were one of the few trees at our place with red leaves this fall. I made this at dawn (exposure time 15 seconds) and it was darker as it is appearing here, so the pedestrian passway may be a little too accentuated. Waiting 5 more minutes would have been smarter. You learn.
Die Spitzahornbäume waren ein paar der wenigen, die rotes Herbstlaub bekamen. Die Bäume hier sind nur von Norden vollständig zu sehen. Um kein Gegenlicht zu bekommen, war ich früh dran, vielleicht etwas zu früh, weil der beleuchtete Fussgängerweg von den Bäumen ablenken könnte. Zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme war es noch um einiges dunkler, als das Bild den Anschein gibt. Ein paar Minuten später wäre der Fussweg nicht mehr so markant gewesen. Man lernt halt dazu.
