This shot took less manipulation than one might think. Just played with the curves a touch to up the brightness in the window. I also increased the colour saturation (such that there is) to add a little more punch to the light. I didn't have to do anything to ensure the negative space was pitch black -- I was shooting at three in the morning and used a fast shutter speed.

Watcher

Watcher is a multi-building video installation. Viewed on the windows of a series of houses, some of which Chen inhabited during childhood, images from her memories of growing up on D'Arcy merge with imagined stories that have occurred behind the buildings' facades over the course of the area's complex, history; fact is peppered with fiction. As viewers walk from house to house, they become implicated as voyeurs in the human compulsion to not mind our own business.

Sharon is my boyfriend Chris's little sister who i get along with so very well! We have been trying to shoot together for forever now! I got a couple I'll upload along the week as well.

This photo was interesting since that mirror was so heavy!!!!! All i could picture is one of us falling and getting hurt while carring it down two flights of stairs and outside on the snow and ice. This photo was taken in a grape vineyard about 2 hours north of where I live! My boyfriend grew up there! I really hope that you enjoy - and here is a good tune that I feel goes with the mood of our photo!

Happy saturday :)

My toughs about manipulation is that we all are doing it, in a sense. not just the country that go in wars.

For class we were to combine three images together as a group of three people. My group came up with the concept of ripping someones heart out.

This was my first attempt at some serious manipulation. No where near as intense as some people like Aaron Nace, but it's a start! Hopefully this summer I'll get a chance to do some neater stuff, but for now this is what I've got! The arm still bothers me a bit, but it will come with time.

Check out my partners, Adam D'Olivieira and Dylan Ayres (no flickr that I know of).

It was too hard to withhold the flood of these truths,

At last the Qalandar revealed the secrets of the Book..

Another addition to The Jarology set. I like the way it has turned out, I wasn't sure about this one. When the words and the meaning behined those words is so powerful and extremely close to your heart, a man can sacrifice a little sleep..I am Muhammad Arqum and i approve of Iqbal's Message.

Helene Bertha Amalie "Leni" Riefenstahl (German: 22 August 1902 – 8 September 2003) was a German film director, producer, screenwriter, editor, photographer, actress and dancer.

Born in 1902, Leni Riefenstahl grew up in Germany with her brother Heinz (1905–1944), who was killed on the Eastern Front in World War II. A talented swimmer and artist, she also became interested in dancing during her childhood, taking dancing lessons and performing across Europe.

After seeing a promotional poster for the 1924 film Der Berg des Schicksals ("The Mountain of Destiny"), Riefenstahl was inspired to move into acting. Between 1925 and 1929, she starred in five successful motion pictures. In 1932, Riefenstahl decided to try directing with her own film called Das Blaue Licht ("The Blue Light").

In the 1930s, she directed Triumph des Willens ("Triumph of the Will") and Olympia, resulting in worldwide attention and acclaim. Both movies are widely considered two of the most effective, and technically innovative, propaganda films ever made. Her involvement in Triumph des Willens, however, significantly damaged her career and reputation after the war. The exact nature of her relationship with Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler remains a matter of debate. However, Hitler was in close collaboration with Riefenstahl during the production of at least three important Nazi films, and a closer friendship is claimed to have existed. When in 2000 Jodie Foster was planning a biographical drama on Riefenstahl, war-crime documenters warned against a revisionist view that glorified the director. They stated that publicly Riefenstahl seemed "quite infatuated" with Hitler and was in fact the last surviving member of his "inner circle". Others go further, arguing that Riefenstahl's visions were essential to the success of the Holocaust. After the war, Riefenstahl was arrested, but classified as being a "fellow traveler" or "Nazi sympathiser" only and was not associated with war crimes. Throughout her life, she denied having known about the Holocaust. Besides directing, Riefenstahl released an autobiography and wrote several books on the Nuba people.

Riefenstahl died of cancer on 8 September 2003 at the age of 101 and was buried at Munich Waldfriedhof.

Original photographs over-processed in PS and Studio Artist 4. It's not subtle but it is what it is.

This image is a photo manipulation using a model from a previous shoot a few years back. Several blended images and a cracked wall texture was used.
