My toughs about manipulation is that we all are doing it, in a sense. not just the country that go in wars.
For class we were to combine three images together as a group of three people. My group came up with the concept of ripping someones heart out.
This was my first attempt at some serious manipulation. No where near as intense as some people like Aaron Nace, but it's a start! Hopefully this summer I'll get a chance to do some neater stuff, but for now this is what I've got! The arm still bothers me a bit, but it will come with time.

I’ve never done much photo manipulation before but learning to do selective colouring was a lot of fun.

This image is a photo manipulation using a model from a previous shoot a few years back. Several blended images and a cracked wall texture was used.

GROUND control to Captain Cook: ''It's Nobbys Head, Jim, but not as we know it.''
The famous landmark at the entrance to Newcastle Harbour has just gained interplanetary recognition after a feature on Mars was named after it.
Nobbys Head on the Martian landscape is close to other features with names that have a familiar ring - Cape York, Botany Bay, Endeavour Crater and Cape Tribulation.
The name was chosen by NASA at the suggestion, 14 months ago, of Col Maybury, the president of the Astronomical Society of the Hunter.
The adoption of the name comes as the robotic rover Opportunity trundles across the red planet sending information on new features.
Almost 2½ centuries separate the discovery of the two Nobbys Heads. The then Lieutenant Cook discovered the nearer on May 10, 1770 from the HM Bark Endeavour.
''I am absolutely stoked. I talked with NASA and we got on well and I begged them to do it,'' Mr Maybury said. ''Believe it or not, Nobbys Head on Mars looks very much like Nobbys Head in Newcastle.''
The scientist who named the features is Raymond Arvidson.

Photo manipulation is as old as photography itself; the idea of a photo having inherent verisimilitude is a social construct. Manipulation has been used to deceive or persuade viewers, or for improved story-telling and self-expression. Sometimes a photo manipulation has little or no resemblance to the photo from which is started. Image manipulation software is then used to apply effects and warp the image in whatever way possible until the desired result is achieved
