God invented food as fuel for human bodily activity, as a social event, and to show his goodness by giving it flavor, which brings us no small pleasure.
It’s truly amazing, though, to realize how many other uses people have for meals: self-medicating when under stress (nothing makes you forget your troubles like a box of donuts), rewarding yourself for hard work or some achievement, showing off, or massaging insecurity by stunning your dinner guests into a food coma.
We could all stand to be more intentional about what we shove down the ol’ piehole. Sometimes we eat out of boredom, social pressure, or just plain sugar cravings. Daniel and his friends chose to be very intentional about their food intake. “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. God doesn’t demand that you become a vegan. But do think about what you are going to put into your mouth today. God Bless

A former church is now a maritime museum. Although unfortunately we never got to go inside. Covid restrictions meant access was by booking only and we never managed to get a slot.

They spoke to students about portfolio management and risk assessment. Both undergraduate and graduate Zarb students manage the fund and utilize Zarb’s Martin B. Bloomberg Trading Room, the largest academic trading room in the nation, with 34 Bloomberg terminals, in their assessment of fund allocation.

Climate Change will impact and is thought to already be impacting the composition, extent and distribution of forests and pastures in the Great Caucasus. Contributing factors to the degradation of forest resources in Azerbaijan’s Greater Caucasus landscape include overgrazing of livestock, inappropriate tree harvest for fuel wood and timber, and non-timber forest product harvest. Maintaining current poor management of pastures and forests will continue to degrade these resources and reduce their resilience. As the system becomes more degraded the pressures will increase on pastures and forests threatening livelihoods and continuing a cycle of poverty and poor management. Although climate change will be quite favorable for winter pastures, their area will not expand and might even diminish. This will be mainly caused by soil erosion and an increasing use of lands for crops as well as increased evaporative demands.
