As well as being more consistent in general when it comes to building, I wanted to expand my horizons a bit. So here's my first foray into the world of Tachikoma!
The idea behind this was a think tank that moves freight around in a large depot, analogous to a forklift I guess. The cage at the back that forms the abdomen opens up to swap cargo in and out. I wasn't sure how to go about it at first, but once I got in the groove I had an absolute blast and finished it in one sitting. There's plenty of time left in Marchikoma so I might even make another.

i think art can transport us: it allows us to see and think differently. sometimes we wonder: what’s real and what’s not and does it make a difference? art is a mysterious, beautiful portal. and often this portal exists in ordinary places, like my aged bedroom window, filled with melting frost.

Jackson's Close is a back alley leading up to High Street/Royal Mile, Edinburgh. Spotted the gentleman pushing the boxes up the steep alley as I was passing. Quickly framed the shot using the settings from the previous image. Did not have time to change. He was fast so had to be quick with the shutter. Only managed to to pull the trigger the once.
