There are times in life when everything is just too much, too out of control. The best that you can hope for is to simply organize the chaos.

The three components that comprise a jaw coupling, sometimes also referred to by the brand name shown in the picture, used to attach a motor to a driven device, typically in industrial equipment.
The design of this coupling offers a means of shock and vibration absorption through the rubber spider used to join the two hubs. Selling each hub separately allows mixing and matching shaft sizes as circumstances require, within reasonable limits.
The windmill is quite symbolic; considered to be a universal symbol of life, resilience,self-sufficiency,and perseverance in a harsh environment. It is important to recognize that no matter what happens in life you can overcome any problem. Life is composed of ups and downs. Learning to get through the downs is key to being successful. Without obstacles,difficulty,struggles,and challenges, life wouldn't make much sense. You become stronger, more compassionate, and more grateful when you strongly believe in your capacity to persevere and rebuild again.

Like so many others I have been both horrified and sickened by the events of the past week. I don't honestly know if things will ever change in my lifetime but I can't help believe that, no matter what faith we follow or what our beliefs, the words of St Francis transcends all. Truly words to follow as we move towards making this world a better place.

The smells. That's what takes me back. Like an encore at the end of the night, just one more song. Back to the sidewalk with the Italian oleander and the sea in the air. Back to the roadside fruit stand raspberries, taking customer orders after school on Wednesdays and Fridays. Back to the couch watching cartoons with cinnamon and syrup fingers. Home and travels, breathe it in so you can keep them forever.

I was given a 7 hour time slot to paint this peice, The gate to the lot would lock up at 5 and I wasn't allow to stay and paint past business hours. Anyway, I showed up an hour late and painted my ass of for 6 hours. It was a real workout because of the scale, and my forearm felt like it was a wet noodle after. Although the time constraint helped with the 'deconstructive painting style, random 3d, hollow effects and negative spaces played a big role.

This image was taken at the City Museum in Saint Louis. This place is a concrete and wire wonderland. Clearly the guy behind the design was a mad-man, but we get to reap the benefits of his design. The museum is inside an abandoned shoe factory in fact, there is a shop just to the left of the image where they make and sell shoelaces. We got a pair. The place is an endless opportunity for interesting images. The hardest partis getting one with no one in the frame.
A globe-shaped Allium ‘Millennium’ bloom popping-up like a lively botanical lollipop. These delightful flower clusters look like playful little puffballs that may have been created by Dr. Seuss. This JPG is straight out of the camera. The only alteration I made is adding some more compression to make the file smaller so that the image would load faster.

Inle Lake in Myanmar is famous for rowers masterfully balancing on one leg. Photos of such hardworking fishermen are plentiful, but most are staged. Of course, there are many "real" fishermen plying Inle Lake with traps in order to bring home the catch to their families. But the 'model' guys have figured out another way to make a few dollars off the lake—posing for tourists for tips. They wear traditional, colorful clothing and perform amazing acrobatic shows; their sense of balance and the strength required to pose is quite remarkable. When they finished their act, I gladly gave a modeling fee to these hard-working men who provide an honest service. Despite the shots being posed, the moment is still magical and does not make the images any less beautiful.
Balancing in the boat's stern and paddling with one foot is a traditional fishing technique dating to the 12th century. Using a leg instead of hands to row allows a fisherman to see submerged obstacles and find a clear route while searching for the tell-tale bubbles of fish shoals.
