I developed this roll of Tri-X using Caffenol C, which is a developer made from instant coffee, wash soda, & ascorbic acid (vitamin C). For a first try, I think it turned out well. Definitely brings out the grain, though.

White Elephant gift. There was alumium foil under the paper that completed a circuit when pressure was applied. So, when someone picked up the box, a motor with an offset eraser stuck on it started spinning, which vibrated the box. Barrel o laughs.
DC Area Girl Scouts participate in a group challenge: Get all of your team across a "river" mpasse via tiny "lillypads". They learned that teamwork, perseverance, risk taking, strategy, and communication are the secrets of success. That and getting very very close to each other.
At April's Open MAKE: Trash event at the Exploratorium, among many other activities, visitors heard from our Featured Makers, redesigned clothing at our Giant Swap-o-Rama, and then showed off what they created in our Trashion Show!

A felt cozy is a great thing to whip up, especially for the holiday season. It will definitely add a touch of home and nostalgia on your table, fireplace, etc.
Here's a photo of a prototype. I spotted them on sale at one of the large book chains here in Canada. I immediately thought, hey, I have some wet felting materials around. Why not try it out?
